Hi George,The value of the work is only one side of the equation. On the other side, you have the time spent by the engineer (both driving and working) as well as the actual cost/km (or mile) that needs to be taken into account. If those 2 costs are higher than the activity value (also taking into account multipliers, SLA slopes, etc.) the DSE may not want to schedule it at all as it’s simply not worth it.Balancing the costs and values will require some testing and tweaking. I think there are a few options, depending on what system you are integrating with:Base value of activities SLAs and their slopes Costs per hour for engineers Costs per km/mile driven More advances features such as travel cost models, preferences, activity links, fixed activities, etc. There is a lot of information on these topics in the Costs and Values and Appointment Booking Scheduling concept PDFs as well.In general though, I would recommend to have the minimum value for the lowest priority activity as 1000 to p
Hi Tom, Ross, As of update 24 it is possible to change this parameter. From the release note of 6u24: Earlier versions will not contain this however; you will need to update to version 24 to be able to use it. Regards,Roel
Hi Jonathan,No, that field is not mapped. The only field that will be sent across is the person and skill ID, and the skill proficiency (person_skill.sched_proficiency) to my knowledge. That should cover the need for scheduling purposes however; what’s the reason you need the skill level?Regards,Roel
Hi Durga,To further Dayan’s point above. The most likely limiting factor here is the activity or appointment availability. I would suggest looking at the loadfile to see all availabilities assigned to this activity in particular. Which system is sending these activities? FSM?Regards,Roel
Hi,Depending on your FSM scheduling app params set up, not all activities will go to PSO at once. There is logic built into FSM to ‘filter out’ any activities that do not have an overlapping SLA (Time commitment) with the scheduling window + appointment window. So if the SLA window doesn’t fall within the scheduling and appointment window, it should not be sent to PSO at all, regardless of other characteristics of the activity. As an alternative, you could also look at creating a dummy team for activities to be assigned to, or have a separate status in FSM. Once the tasks need to be sent to PSO, you change the team to a relevant team and/or the correct status - manually or automatically in FSM.Regards,Roel
Hi Adam,PSO cannot automatically adjust the shifts based on the requirements you described. However, you can ensure work is not allocated during those hours through Rules. There, you can set up a minimum rest period between activities, or a certain limit of working hour per time period (day/week). I’m not aware of any other options you have within the PSO framework, and pretty sure there is currently no way to do that from FSM or IFS Cloud either. You would have to make a customization to achieve that.I think the rules-option might be a good out of the box function to fulfill those requirements already.Best regards,Roel
Hi,PSO 6.9 was released earlier this year - early february if i’m not mistaken. The next release is 6.10, which is currently planned for a release date similar to 22R2. I think that’s the overall goal as well, to release a major PSO version along with a major release of IFS Cloud.
Hi, Resource buckets are meant for allocation of work to a third party mostly. This means there is no real ‘ordering’ of activities; the bucket is simply a placeholder for a bunch of committed activities. The third party representing the bucket is then responsible for organizing his own work schedule. Judging from the second question it sounds more like you are you looking for the Teams functionality? Here, you assign resources to a team, after which you assign the activities to that same team. If we are talking about resources internally, I would almost always recommend this function over the resource buckets option. If you really want to utilize the resource bucket functionality (and the order in which they are done doesn’t matter) you should be able to select multiple activities at once by holding the control key, after which you can edit (commit) them all once. See a screenshot from the documentation here:After this, you can make any bulk changes you require:The available options de
