The Extract Menu option will output data in XML format. In the Coluns to Extract section by default it has one record with a value of “*” which means all columns. If you only want to extract certain columns, then replace this record with one record per column name. The example below extracts task_id and Task_status from task
You will need to create either a SAVE or NEXT button. Then you need to add a script to this button to actually save the data. The script you’ll need is something along these lines: if (initialValuesHaveChanged()) { if (saveChanges()) { // save worked - so add in here what screen to go to next } else { // save failed - so an alert message perhaps } } else { // Nothing was changed - so no need to save, put here what to happen next }
This would require customisation of the app due to this screen being an internal screen and there is no control for it
Hi @Jacksonc Are you able to provide a bit more detail on what you are trying to do?Which screen re you applying this script to? I assume it is in the populate event?Have you modified the line_code field?Maybe some screenshots might help?RegardsSteve
Hi @Jacksonc The problem is being caused because some of your line code records have NULL values in user_def1. Mobile treats these differently. In order to fix your sql query in your script you need to replace your populateListFromQuery line with the following which adds in specific handling for null values: populateListFromQuery("non_part_usage", "line_code", "select description, line_code from line_code where npu_code = 'EXP' and line_code_type <> 'CYL' and line_code_type <> 'R' and (user_def1 <> 'PR' or user_def1 IS NULL) order by sequence asc", true);This should then work.RegardsSteve
It is not possible to add charts/graphs to the ad-hoc reports, however, in a custom report you can add whatever you like. This is a standard feature of Visual Studio report designer:
I have used this on iOS and in general it does work although I have had situations when it didn’t straight away! I have, however, always managed to get it to work. Can you send me a copy of the script to review and also a screenshot of the field config in the mobile designer?
Hi Christine,I have downloaded the current version and the only difference from the previous version I had was a couple of changes to the patch.sql file which related to reports, a change to the Revisions.txt file and a number of missing files relating to Azure:
No - this is standard and cannot be changed. The change was made around 5.7/6.0 to not show all the survey questions in one go but instead to prompt them one by one
Hi CharithI have changes to the task sync rule and a number of custom tables linked to task.What sort of thing should I be looking for? Steve
Thanks KalPaniIf I initialise the original owners device then the task is removed.I only have the baseline constraints on the task sync ruleChanging the status to Cancel does remove the taskI will check the mm_message_out table next ...
Does this actually work?I am using update 14 and have changed the “Label” field on a custom attachmentList screen but when displayed it still shows “Attachments”
Hi @Sajith D Many thanks for the reply. I have this information now, and so will send it to you directly rather than post it on an open forum.ThanksSteve
As fas as I know this is not possible as the list can only have values changed. You cannot add rows to the list or sort it via scripts.It is however possible to create custom sort options on the Job List screen but these only sort by a column on the data. Would it be possible to use a user_def field on the task record to hold the sort value? If so, you could then create a new sort item using this user_def field. It might also then be possible to use the populate script to update this user_def field with a sort value via the script and so create the sort field dynamically via the script.
@brian.gummin - have you seen this before or have any ideas?
@jevin.fernando - that pointed me in the right direction and helped solve the issue!I had checked the metrix_code_table and the “Standard” record was present, however, using your script it showed that it was not present in the mm_message_def_view. The cause turned out to be that the customer had a cust_message_def record defined with a message_id of “STANDARD” and was therefore being excluded from the view and so did not appear on mobile!
