FSM Mobile - mm_message_out cleanup process

Hi Dilan, I found that @anpelk & @brian.gummin has explained the process concerning mm_message_out deletion. And also I assume, you aware of the relation and behind the scene of the mobile initialization and mm_message_out table. First of let’s verify person_id for the records of mm_message_out and then find an assigned role for that person. You can see the ‘table’ tab in the role screen for each role as below. User can add tables here manually and set the restrictions for that table such as Disabled/ Read Only or No Delete. Or else after click the Generate Role Tables button, it will create the restrictions automatically. Because of this reason, mm_message_out cannot be cleaned up at the mobile initializing process. Extra - This caused to the INIT process also. So, INIT process takes unterminated loop. //Anjula

Mobile Syncing for ever

Hi, There can be more issues related to the syncing issue for the first time. Activation(check the Mobile Service URL is working or not) perform_login(verify the given credentials) initialization_started initialization_ended: (https:\/\/[server]\/[Mobile_Service]\/download\/XXXX__01.zip) download mobile database & attachments into the device This is the process for mobile INIT. In the fresh installation, usually, the problem is in step 5. Mobile fails to stream. This is happening because of download URL in the mobile web.config Service URL should be above URL except download. Otherwise, the syncing process will be unterminated. It can be recognized, the mobile screen background will shows that Finished sync and nothing will be chaged in background. It seems, @dsj has this issue.(check his screenshot, Finished sync at 8:27 and already passed 6 minutes without any response) If it is a upgrade, then problem can be the MOBILE_DATABASE_DIRECTORY(this is null for azure environments) o

FSM Studio screen creation issue

Custom tables are registered from Custom metadata. So, you need to create custom metadata first(you have already done this part). If you wish to do any code-level customizations with this custom table, then you should define the Namespaces for Table & Policy, Policy name. (refer below screenshot) As above replies, you need to add the table schema to the entitites in your project and replace build DLLs into the CustomAssemblies. Then make sure there’s no mismatch in Web.config But if you do nothing in code-level for this table, no need to define these fields. You can just register your custom table by creating metadata(with column & relationships, depend on your requirement). Create SQL script(if SQL db server) and deploy it to the database. (purpose is, creating the actual table in the db) Unrecognized business object(table, view, etc) mean, the application can’t find your table. As summary, you problem can be, You haven’t deploy the script into the db. (no actual table in t

FSM Sync Rule Condition

Hi @Muthujayashree,You can use IN operator in the data constraint for your XML query. With this approach, you can use any sql query to retrieve data. Ex - <constraint> <left_operand>c_site_history_view.primary_key</left_operand> <operator>IN</operator> <right_operand>(select primary_key from c_site_history_view where created_dttm >= (select param_value from cust_app_params where param_name = ‘YOUR_CUST_PARAM’))</right_operand> </constraint> Note - Better to optimize the result as much as possible. Otherwise, it may impact to the performance in both server & mobile.

FSM - continuously inserting records in to mm_message_out table

Hi @Kelum Pradeep Kumara,When it comes to synchronization issues / mm_message_out issues, it spans a wide range. Basically, mm_message_out records will be generated to send data to the mobiles. If you see this behavior in mm_message_out table only when initializing the mobile, it would be normal. If not, the problem might be some unnecessary background updates in the application(server-side).As an example, the TASK sync rule in real-time one to send real-time updates to the mobiles. If there are continuous updates happening for task(s), the application will continuously generate mm_message_out to send those updates to the mobile. Also, another reason might be some owner identifier issue. Baseline view of TASK_ASSIGMENT_VIEW will act for owner identifier in most of the cases. I’ve seen some bad practice of modifying this view. Furthermore, better to owner identifier and broadcast options of sync rules. If you can find particular tables related to this mm_message_out record(by using data

Thank you very much @Anjula Priyanath !!! This works and task_type is shown! So we have to do the same for all the fields in the debrief screens, right ? There is no way to automatically get the values with ‘where clause’ scripts (using task_id)? No @ioannamourtzaki, we can do it.If it’s a column in the primary table of screen, you can also easily use the where clause and modify only option in the screen properties. It depends. But, in your case, this should be the recommended way.Where clause script & Screen properties

Web client script to poll for change in the record

Hi @Miraj,As my knowledge, it’s not possible to show an alert when updating the record in the background process(server side), as the alert is being shown on the client side.As you tried to do this using client script, you should have some client-side triggering points to execute the client script(Client scripts are client configurations).If your requirement is to be notified the user that the record has been already modified via integration, you can do it using some triggering point such as when user saves the record, button click, refresh screen, etc. Otherwise, it’s not possible to do using configurations.

Hi @joana.m.machado,you need to have 2 map functions(and 2 processes) for this. However, when you have the processes with 2 different names won’t be defined as two. That means, the map name will be used in the map. Not the process name.

Hi @Anjula Priyanath , I was trying to avoid duplicating functions, but it seems it is not possible. Thanks Joana Yes Joana. I also have previously tried the same to avoid duplicating the map functions and realized that map function name should be used in the map instead of the process name.It looks like the process name is using to just define unique names in the process tab. But it is not to use in the map.@Hasara Dinu has well explained it above. 🙂

Hi,You can write a client script(to setControlEnable) and bind it to the screen event type of AfterDataLoad.Note - You need to have 2 client scripts, 1 for Web Client & 1 for Smart Client.

Hi @JuniSihombing,As per screenshots, those configurations are looks good. Did you set the WILD CARD MEMBER in Distribution list? If not, you need to select the correct substitution map there. But, your custom substitution map won’t be shown there until you create the record in WILD_CARD_MEMBER in the code table.Distribution List WILD_CARD_MEMBER code table

Cannot access files after changing the attachment directory

Hi @pra3,Did you move the existing attachments into new location?You need to alter the file path in attachment table for all the existing records, because those were pointed to the older location.New attachment records will be created with new path and saved in new location.

Hi @ioannamourtzaki,We can’t remove these from the standard screen, because this is the screen template defined the source code. As a workaround, can you try with below?Create new message translation with blank message text(null) in back office(smart client). Message Translation type should be Mobile Screen Tip. Set the custom message translation as Tip message id.(if you can’t see the newly created one in mobile, try after reinitializing the device) Click preview.Thanks.

Hi,I just tried the same and realized that’s also not possible because there’s no usage of stringFormat for this screen tip message translation. So, it will show what we have typed in message text.Also, it’s possible to hide the screen tip by removing screen tip message translation in Android Mobile(I couldn’t try in iOS, but it might be the same).So, the problem occurs only in Windows mobile.I don’t think we can have any other alternative to overcome this designer limitation in Windows. But, I’ll try to find any.

@Anjula Priyanath , yes I tried the same and it is not working. What exactly do you mean with “it’s possible to hide the screen tip by removing screen tip message translation in Android Mobile” ? Do you mean that it’s possible to hide the screen tip using custom code in mobile? Thank you for your answers! No @ioannamourtzaki. I meant if you are using Android mobile device(Android application), screen tip won’t be shown after removing the screen tip. I hope, if you are using iOS device it would be the same.In windows mobile code, it will show the default tip which exist in screen layout(i.e. This is a sample tip with text and stuff.) if the message id/ value is null for screen tip. But the behavior is different in Android(i.e. It will be show the screen tip value whether it’s null or not).What are the mobile platform(s) that the customer intends to use?
