Hi Peter,The “Absence Functions” are used to both control the number of days when and “Absence Action” should be triggered and which “Absence Actions” to use. This is for instance the case with the Function “T-ACTION”, which is used to “Generate action on the specified day with a specified time to perform it”. (These functions can however be a bit tricky to get a grip on.)The Functions are set up under either an Absence Group or Absence Type. Each Function is designed either for an Absence Group or a Type.Best Regards,Magnus
Hi Anna,As mentioned you can create a report, but I still think the Person/Employee must have sufficient HR Access since it is HR-data we are talking about. Now, I do not know exactly what Employee-data you want the Health & Safety people to be bale to see; however, if you crate an Access Role and use the “Limited Access” setting, you will limit the access to only the Access Attributes linked to the Role. Thus, if you have Limited Access and only the Expense attribute, the individuals with that Role will only be able to see Expense data for the Employee. Maybe this is a solution for you? Using this you can explicitly control what HR-data to give access to and then it might not matter if the Health & Safety people have access to Manager Time Reporting pages, because they do not have access to the Time Reporting data.Set a new Access Role up, link it to a User, login and test. Please view screenshot (not from App10, but settings are the same).Regards,Magnus
Hi Anna,The Access Attributes and Access Roles in the HCM module only grants access to HR-data - it does not control what pages/windows the individual have access to. That can however be controlled via permission sets for the User.In your question your write “Person”. Is this only a Person or is this an Employee? If it is an Employee who should only have access to its own HR-functions (Self Service), but on top of that only be able to view all Employees in a specific page (Present Employees), but not in other pages: then that can be achieved with HR Access + unique permission sets for that User (also works if it is only a Person). If the individual however should have access to different “Manager Pages” , but only see all employees in one specific page; then I think it is more of a challenge. Could however be possible with very specific setups of permission sets, but probably much work.Could you please be more specific on who should have access and why?Best Regards,Magnus
Hi Veronika,First of all, how do you have the Holiday set up? As a Time Balance or as an Absence Limit?Your question 1: “The employee should register holidays (this is only possible in “my absence calendar” and the absence registration assistant, right?), the supervisor should approve the requested holiday and HR should authorize the request.”Answer 1: If the Employee is to do a request for holiday, then yes, it should be done in the “absence calendar”. The Employee can however of course just register holiday directly in some Time Reporting page, without a request routine. You also write that “the supervisor should approve and HR authorize”. Is this what you really need or just the way you think it has to work? When I set this up, the Employee registers the request and the supervisor approves. With the standard Access Attributes the Authorization happens automatically. HR is never involved and the authorization is not a mandatory step (as in Expense).Suggestion 1: I see you have setup
Hi Anny,What is it that the customer is hoping to achieve via the Qualification Profile, that cannot be done by entering the same data to Jobs instead? As far as I can remember, the Qualification Profile is foremost integrated with the Recruitment E2E-flow: Headcount > Vacancies > Recruitment. Apart from those areas - and Jobs and Qualifications of course - I cannot remember that Profile is integrated in many other functions. My main argument for using Jobs would however be that we are expanding the use of Jobs in the HCM-module, as an option to Position. This is not done with Profile. Thus, Jobs is more integrated with other areas. Going forward, maybe also outside of HCM in the application.I realize the customers point “requires substantial effort and time to harmonize all jobs on a global level”. My suggestion would however be to use Jobs, but with a minimum amount of data. Yes, a profile contains less data than Jobs, but still the same data. The customer could start by just add
Hi,I can confirm that it is in one of my customer’s environments as well: 23R1 SU3. It however does not seem to be in IFS internal demo environments 23R1 SU4. Same basic data and setup is also showing correct data in 21R1 SU15. Thus, I think it is an issue in 23R1 SU3.Has this been reported?Regards,Magnus
Hi Nuwanthika,In that case I think that this might be a bug, because I do not know of any specific settings that would give extra access for just one page under Manager Services. We’ll see if anyone else replies though, because I very rarely use Clockings and there could be something unique logic built for Clockings.Regards,Magnus
Hi Nuwanthika,The Permission Sets (Projections) controls the access to pages or certain parts of pages. However the HCM Access is on top of that. Thus, if you have access via Permission Sets, but the HCM data does not give access, you should not see any data.I this case the Supervisors however sees to many Employees data. Is the Clocking window the only part of the entire Manager Services, where the Supervisor see more than its intended subordinates? In that case it is strange. In the HCM module in general a Supervisor should only see its own subordinates. Either a bug or intended design, but I do not understand what would motivate the latter.Regards,Magnus
