Yes, we created our tools as objects. But what is troubles me is the word “design object” in the connection type of the work order. What is the meaning of deisgn object in IFS ? I do not want to be on the wrong path
Yes, you are right. But my concerns now, is that I cannot have a work order on design object. The system does not allow me to select it because we do not have the asset design. The tools I am speaking are not équipements. Is it correct ?
The name of the menu in IFS is Asset management ? because it seems that we do not have it.. We have “service and maintenance” and “MRO fleet operation” (Apps 8)
Thanks Thilini for clarification !
That is what I was thinking at first but I wanted to know if I can implement a kind of approval flow for each customer order… The idea of a document management seems to be good. And as you mentioned, it can be interested to stop the release of the order until the document has been complemented. With an event ?
We are using the “shop order” sourcing option on the sales part. So the customer order line launch automatically the shop order. There is no manual intervention, order point or MRP use.An event seems to be difficult in such a case...
Roza, I am facing a similar issue from my side. I did the same test 3 than you and my phantom part appear in the material list of the shop order and create a requirement on it. My need is the following : I want to see in the material list my phantom part but the requirements must go directly to parts on lower level Is there a way to do this ?
OK, we are redoubling our efforts toward this end hoping a positive outcome… Thanks Mathias for your support !
We have tried to create a custom event but Oracle does not seems to allow BLOB fields. Am I mistaken ? Any solution to solve that ?
Thanks for your answer! This supports my view that we have take the right decision.
