Can we write a condition using expression instead of using "change" operator

Can we write a condition using expression instead of using "change" operator. I have a business rule where I have a condition using expression like below: In the same expression can we also check whether PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM has been changed or not. The intention is not to add one more input param “PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM” and not to rebuild the condition again with an additional line for checking whether PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM has been changed or not. Please help if anybody has any suggestion on this.

Purchase Order Return - Early Delivery

Morning all, We have an issue where we have certain suppliers who “chance it” and send us material that they have finished early (sometimes months early). Obviously we don’t want to be taking on this stock until we actually need it however as some of it is sent by courier i.e. FEDEX, UPS etc we get the courier dropping the item off, takes a quick signature and then they are on their way. It is only after manual inspection of the delivery later that we realise that we have something we didn’t yet need. I know what you are all thinking. just tell the supplier to stop doing it! (apparently they don’t listen) For audit obviously we have to register the purchase order arrival but after this we have 3 options. Leave the stock as registered and keep stored in a goods-in location Return for Credit Return for Rework The only one that works in the way they want is Return for Rework in so far as it halts the payment, creates a return note and upon it coming back we can just re-registe

We have some users that rarely need to log into IFS only to approve. Is there an event I can enable to send stream notifications out by email? Thanks Bruce

APB (Help!) Simple Aim - Complex Issue

Hi guys, This was posted a while back. A ton of people viewed it but gave no answer - despite me requiring one desperately! Since then I posted ‘more simple’ kinds of questions, and received a reply soon after. But, to be frank, that’s no good. Surely I should get some indication for the more complex stuff without recourse to a consultant? I’ve got a query about how to use APB. An example is apt here. Consider an MPS consisting of 2 items. Lets stipulate the structure for each is: Level 0 = end-item (GA), Level 1 = SA (x2), Level 2 = 4 piece parts & Level 3 = 10 piece parts. Let’s also imagine 0 overlap between recipes (thus no requisition to merge supply). The relevant ‘Priority Rule’ is ‘Earliest Possible Due Date’ (with all operations selected) since we’re looking to schedule both projects to finish asap, with no spare capacity gaps. 2 options arise at this stage. Either, schedule both project items (under the priority rule stated) in APB with a single executed run. Or, l

FSM-Reports

When i am trying to print a custom SSRS report from FSM Reports screen it is redirecting me to the Web browser where it is not printing. I want to print that report within FSM report window.Some application parameter i need to check for this in APP PARAMS, Can somebody please tell how i can fix this. Remember i can print baseline reports within my FSM Reporting window.

certificate of conformance management

does ifs provide management of certificates of conformance ? when we send goods, a delivery note comes with the shipment. for each part and batch, a certificate of conformance should also come along the shipment. for instance, we would like to have one delivery note and as many CC as there are parts and batchs in the shipment.

FSM-Web Client Portal Access

While accessing the FSM Web Client Portal from IIS server.It is throwing 500.19 Internal Server error. How to solve this error. Remember that its an on premise installed web client portals. I believe i need to do some configuration in the web config file.Can someone tell me what i need to do?

IFS8 - Sharing product from one project to many, but not back

Seems like this should be easy, but we are having difficulty sharing product from one activity sequence or project to many other activity sequences or projects. We don’t want the inventory from those other projects to be shared at all. We’ve messed around with a few settings in PMRP and can’t seem to get it right. Has anyone else had to do this? Like I said it seems ‘simple’. Many thanks!

Purchase Order Printing (Operational Report)

I have created a Crystal Report version of the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP Operational Report for Purchase Orders. However, on the Purchase Order line there is a field PROMISED_DELIVERY_DATE. We wish to print this field but it isn’t available in PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP. Is there a way of adding this field to the report? I initially tried creating a link to PURCHASE_ORDER_LINE_PART but this invalidates the report and it fails. I know you cannot add custom fields to the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP. Can you advise how I can achieve adding other field(s). Can I create a IAL and link this to the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP?

Invalid media file?

We are trying to add a video file to the non-conformance screen in IFS. The object connections are set to allow media type files. The EDM basic data also is defined to allow media type of .mp4 The problem is when I attempt to attach a short video file named (production.mp4) to the NCR attachements, I get an error: Am I missing some kind of set-up or could this be a bug? I also refreshed the object connection cache and that did not work. Please help!

Export a bunch of documents with their original file names

I have added a bunch of documents to a selection (in Document Revisions). I may select one document and right click on it and select File Operations > Copy File To… and in the popup window Name Files Using… I may choose Original File Name (instead of Document Title and Name). But when I select more than one document I don’t get the possibility to choose the original file names. The documents are all saved with IFS generated file names. Would it be possible to, in one way or another, bulk export the documents with their original file names? If I am going to export ~50 documents it’s a time consuming process to export them each and each or rename them afterwards. They have to have their original filenames to match the names in another system.

Columns are Rearranging

I am on Apps 9 and we are running into an issue I can not figure out. I have several internal customers complaining about the order their columns show up in. They move them where they want them and the next day/few days later, they have shifted back to where they were. It appears their preferences are not being saved in their User Profiles. This is happening across the application, it is not confined to a few IFS pages. I have checked the ColOrder on their User Profile and in many cases the Date Modified will not be correct. I had a user contact me today with this issue. They told me they just moved the column this week and the Date Modified is showing 10/23/2019. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Security CHeckpoint setup

Hi, I have question regarding security checkpoints. Is there some way to make the comments mandatory field in the security checkpoint dialog? I can see in system parameters that there is a possibility to make the comments field mandatory in Aurena, but can’t find a similar setting for enterprise explorer. Anyone that knows if this is possible or does it require a modification?

FSM 6.4 Technician Portal

We have just installed FSM 6.4 in our test environment, but cant find how to access the Technician Portal. We installed the Web Client (of which i understand the Technician Portal is part of?), however if we try and log in as a TECHPORTAL licence we get an error stating user is only configured for Tech Portal access. So how do we log in as Tech Portal? Thanks in advance

WaDaCo Active Sessions Hanging Up

We are seeing many sessions of IFS left Active even after the individual has logged out of IFS (we had sessions that were active for over 2 weeks and had restarted the environment at least once during this window). I know what is causing this and we are working on the user community to exit appropriately (selecting the Menu when done) but I’m trying to figure out is there a configuration/setup/utility that we need to have to clear out these old sessions? I can create a process to remove them in the background, but trying to determine if there is a function that we should configure in IFS and not use a brute force deleting process.

Apps9 TimeTracker mobile app question

We’re looking to set up and use TouchApps in our Apps9 environment, and have managed to get several of them working OK using iOS devices. That said, I have a problem with the TimeTracker app where it errors when trying to sync during login. It just keeps looping with the green sync running followed by this error. I’m not sure if this is related to security - there is no permission set script that can be generated from the TAS server - or if this is something else. Can anyone provide any guidance or point me to some documentation I might be missing? Thanks, Nick
