Question re Quick Reports

I have created a quick report that displays total order values for the Sales Group (CATALOG_GROUP) i.e. MTD, YTD, O/S Value, Overdue, Month+1, Month+2, Month+3, Month+4, Month+5 and Month+6. The report works fine, however, in there old system the report displays the Period Date From and Date To values instead of Month+1, Month+2…..etc e.g. Select net_value AS Date_FRom‘27/04/20 - 26/05/20’ I know I can get this information from ACCOUNTING_PERIOD_API.Get_Date_From and Accounting_Period_Api.Get_Date_Until BUT I didn’t think I could set column heading using these values. Could anyone please elaborate or confirm my suspicions.

Hi I have following error in Outbound Application message. Error while preparing input data. Caused by: ifs.fnd.base.SystemException: Transformer error : java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 5, Size: 2 Caused by: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 5, Size: 2 Caused by: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 5, Size: 2 This error will be gone after reroute the application message but Multiple messages frequently appearing in failed status. Please advise.What could be a reason and how it could be resolved permanently?

Crystal Report using Operational REP Error Message: No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service

Report x works in Crystal Reports and other Crystal Reports work in the IFS instance. However, when we run report x in the IFS instance we receive the following message: When I went to check the Crystal Reports log for this instance there was no Crystal Reports log. On noticing that there were no error logs I ran CR_Web_Log.exe that resided in folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\IFSCRWebSetup_IFSR After clicking on Save and Close I checked the ifs-crystal-config.xml file: I logged out of Enterprise Explorer for the instance concerned and logged back in again and tried running the report again, same error received (as expected) but the only thing in the Log file: Please note, report x works in all other IFS instances. Can anyone please advise what I have missed or where I am going wrong. Thank you.

Estimated Cost for Manufactured Part

Hi, I hope this will be an easy one for people. I’m using Apps 9. For Purchased Parts, I can understand how to update the Inventory Part Estimated Material Cost using the Update Estimated material Cost using either Latest or Average Purchase Cost, which are themselves recalculated on a regular basis. But it doesn't seem to be so straightforward to update the estimated material cost for a manufactured part. I can calculate Cost Set 2 (estimated material cost) for all manufactured parts but how can I then update the Estimated Material Cost on the Inventory Part with this figure. Or use the lot/batch cost history to calculate the latest/average material cost in a similar way to purchased parts. Or doesn't it matter that the Estimated Material Cost is not kept updated. Thanks!

How to get printer name in report RDF

Hi Everyone, I’m currently updating the shipment handling unit label report which is a built in report and I need to obtain the printer name and number of copies within the pl/sql RDF file for the report. I wish to use this information in conditional branches in the report. When a user selects the printer and enters the number of copies on the report format and output dialog box is there any way to extract this extract the information? Thank you, William Klotz

PDF Archive no being created

I just discovered that on May 26th customer invoices quit creating a pdf archive file. It appears that other reports such as delivery report, purchase orders etc are still being created. These pdf files are needed by the report rule process to automatically email invoices to customers. I cannot figure out why they are not being created. Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem. It is not a user specific problem. Same person can create a PO arrival pdf archive report. From the report archive if you RMB on an invoice Show PDF is greyed out. Thanks Phil

Report Operations RMB Grayed Out in Shop Order

I am using Apps 9 and am creating a permissions set for people to be able to report shop order operations. The permission set currently allows the user to go to the “Report Shop Order Operation” screen (Manufacturing → Shop Order → Report Operation → Report Shop Order Operation) and do everything they need to do, but for some reason the RMB menu option for “Report Operations...” is not enabled in the “Shop Order” screen (Manufacturing → Shop Order → Order → Shop Order). What permissions do I need to enable to enable this RMB option? Is there a good way in general of identifying which permissions need to be set to enable RMB menus?

Import bank file (ACH) AR payments

Hello, has anyone imported customer payments using a standard ACH file from the bank (ACH file is a fixed width (94 characters) ASCII file). It looks like there are standard external file templates in IFS. Just wondering if anyone has already done this and what is the set-up to do so? There are several template available, but not sure if we would need to create our own or not. Thanks!

Stop Parts being Stored in Multiple Pick Locations

Morning, I know we can stop different parts being stored in the same location by ticking ‘Mix of Part Numbers Blocked’ on the Warehouse Navigator, but is there a way in Standard Apps 9, to prevent a part being stored in more than one location? i.e Limiting every part in a warehouse / bay to only 1 Pick Location. Event Action Error: "Element denoted by path [$EVENT_RECORD$] not found"

Hi all, I am seeing an error message when using an Event Action to generate an Application Message output in IFS 10. When I try to carry out the action that triggers the event (i.e. changing the status of a Shop Order), I get the error shown below (“Element denoted by path [$EVENT_RECORD$] not found”). If I disable the Event Action, I can change the Shop Order successfully. Any ideas? The Event process is set up as follows: 1. Create an Event with ID SHOP_ORDER_STATUS_CHANGE: 2. IFS Module Screening Problem

We realized that normally we can access banking transaction menu in ifs system. However, when we trying to access this option with different computer but same user, we cannot access this option. System doesnt show this option. To solve this issue, I have followed this steps 1 Ifs uninstall 2 Apps/2.0 deleted 3 Net Framework uninstall 4 restart windows 5 install framework 6 install IFS But lt couldnt worked, what can we do about solving this issue. Note: Our windows 10 system recently updated.

Monitor Return to Vendors

Hello all! I have been banging my head trying to figure out the correct API to generate a query that will monitor all Returned for Rework QTY that have not been received back into our inventory. To give context, in Purchase Order Receipt, we add a QTY to inspect and then register inspection result. A RETWORK transaction is generated and the item is extracted out of the system. The PO line has been reopened and can be used as a receipt once the item returns. We would like to monitor which items have had a RETWORK but not returned yet. So far, I cannot find a screen that will monitor this. I think I might be able to create a script that will look at the QTY that have been returned under Purchase Order Receipt against the QTY subtracted against the QTY still needing to be delivered under the PO Line. I’m not sure if this is the best route to proceed though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Custom menus with PL/SQL blocks in Aurena

Hello, I have custom menus created in Aurena with method calls from custom packages. When logged in as App Owner, these menus work. But when logged as a different user, the following error is given. The package is granted the correct access. The projection and the actions are granted access to the permission set the user belong to as well. ErrorMenu DefinitionHas anyone seen this?

if there was a way to only choose certain part categories to copy - Copy Part - from user: Just to clarify. I was.wondering if there can be a default where to ones that never get used can be unlocked when I open copy part, or even removed/hidden. I know they can be clicked off. I'd love to just open one and adjust the two or three changes needed depending on if it's a purchased part or a manufactured part.

ACH File Encryption for Banks

We are looking to see what others may be doing when creating the ACH files out of IFS and then encrypting them before they are sent to the bank. When we generate an ACH File in APPS10, the file is created properly and it is placed in a specific location on the network. They would then need to run it through an program to encrypt it, before they send it to the bank. However, they would like to eliminate the need to have that file on the network first. This would make it more secure knowing that no one could have opened it and changed it.
