Hi, I have created a Packing Instruction in terms of Pallets and Cartons that can automatically create a packing structure to ship a variable large qty of a part. The way it can create the packing structure is really neat. But does anyone know if there is a way for IFS to automatically procure the Pallets and Cartons (and any other packing materials) that would be needed for a Shipment. There doesn't seem to be a way of defining what’s needed in terms of Inventory Parts that would get picked up as a Demand in the system. I would like these to be ordered as and when required, in advance, so the packing structure for the Shipment could be created and the Pallets/Cartons ordered prior to actually packing the Parts. Unless I’m missing something it appears as if the actual packing materials are always assumed to be on hand in the warehouse. But I can’t believe that’s the case, knowing the capability of IFS. Remove Handling Units when using receive dispatch advice

Hey guys, does anyone know a smart and automatic way to unattach parts from HUs when receiving a PO via dispatch advice? We have huge EDI shipments which will be received automatically via the Receive_Dispatch_Advice___ functionality, but as far as i have seen in the system and in the code it will only not consider HUs if you receive it to default location. I don’t think there is a setting to ignore HUs when receiving, but would be glad to be proofen wrong here. Does anyone have any experience with this or some good ideas/workarounds? Thanks, Johannes

MRP 'Original Due' and 'Planned Due'

Hi guys, In ‘Shop Order Requisitions’, there are two columns called ‘Original Due’ and ‘Planned Due’. This determine the ‘Need Dates’ for the works orders that are raised by accepting the requisitions in question. In turn, dictating to APB (our CBS engine) what to prioritize when a trade-off is required given resource limitations. How can those dates be changed? Namely, for SST items under planning method B/C. For demand released by a customer or projects that would involve editing the required date, performing MRP and alignment via MRP Action Proposals. How can we change the Orig. and PLD Due dates for SST items so they are called for now. thanks, jay

supplier credit memo

We use Inventory Valuation Method = Weighted Average (on Apps9) and we receive inventory parts from a PO and we match the supplier invoice and pay the supplier. Then the supplier sends us a credit. Our Supplier Invoice Consideration = Transaction Based and we would expect this credit to update the inventory value of the part. How should this credit be processed? We have never set up any type of “supplier credit” series but maybe this is possible?

Print Shipment Pro Forma Invoice

We would like to print a pro forma invoice for a given shipment but the option is grayed out. The shipment is in “Completed” status and we’d either like to print it manually by RMB in the header of the shipment > Print Pro Forma Invoice OR have it as an optional event for the shipment type. The help says that this should be as easy as RMB in the header and clicking Print Pro Forma invoice and the only prerequisites are as follows: The shipment must be in Complete or Closed status before you can print the shipment pro forma invoice. In order to print the customs value it must be manually defined for each customer order line. The customs statistics number will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective inventory part, non-inventory sales part and package part records. The net weight will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective sales

Can you remove this information message from the Customer Order screen?

I sent this topic to IFS Support in March, but have not received an answer. Hoping someone maybe can give me a “yes”/”no”: We use IFS V9. We updated in the Application Base Setup > Enterprise > Site, under the Inventory > General tab, the Picking Lead Time to be 10 days for all sites in Prod. However, if we have to key a short-lead order, we get an "INFORMATION MESSAGE: THE DUE DATE IS EARLIER THAN TODAY'S DATE. EARLIER POSSIBLE DELIVERY DATE IS YYYY-MM-DD" for every line item. We can press OK and bypass the message, and it will let you continue keying, but again - it occurs with every line item, which makes keying more of a task. We are looking for a possible way to disable this message?

Object references

In IFS 75 version Reference_sys package during refresh active list has validation that CASCADE option is only valid for P - primary key. Since IFS 8 version there is no that validation. I want to ask whether CASCADE option for A - attribute column or K - key are proper AQS behaviour? It make sens to use it? Copy Approval Template

We want to provide a document with an Approval Template for the Sales Quotation and Customer Order. We have investigated that at the Document Revisions screen there is the possibility to assign a copy Approval template to the relevant document. Is it possible to have this function directly on the screen below? If so, in what way?

FSM Business Rule - XML

We have the below XML being triggered from a business rule, after commit insert or update on the TASK table. This XML creates a new address (using a custom view) and updates the address_id of the task. We sometimes see that, if there are 2 TASK’s created almost at the same time (with just 1 second delay or less than 1 second delay) then both the task’s are updated with the same address id. The below expression that is updating the address_id returns the same address_id in both cases. <address_id xpath_node="//update_address_result[@result_name='update_tmfb_address']/address/address_id" /> However we see in the database that 2 new address_id are created but the both the task’s are updated with only 1 of them. So basically when we have 2 similar tasks created at the same time then this business rule executes 2 times and the expression “//update_address_result[@result_name='update_tmfb_address']/address/address_id" doesn’t return unique result. Output Team Absence Requests to Outlook

Hi everyone, Is there a way to setup IFS to update update an Outlook calendar with Absence Requests? For example a supervisor could see all absence requests from his team/supervised employees directly on his Outlook Calendar vs having to go to IFS and view each employee’s Absence calendar for a month. mWO Service 10 - object access

Hallo, I need some help with mWO objects. I have approximately 8 000 objects serviced by 50 technician. So I want to divide the objects into smaller parts (like service regions) & and have individual access to them. I disable property SuncAllObject on TAS. I (even) disconnect group push user (IFSSERVICEENGAPP) from the site. Doesn’t work. Every mobile user can see all the objects. What else I should do ? Any idea, please ?

IFS Document Bizapi / REST service

Does IFS 10 (Aurena) provide Out the box functionality to receive documents (.pdf) from an external source via web service? looking at the list of BizApi’s available i can not see any related to receiving inbound documents, if there is can anybody point me to the correct service / documentation. Eforms to stay on mobile work order till work order returned

We have a requirement for a customer for which we would like to use eforms as digital forms to replace site appraisal forms. What we would like to achieve is that the technician completes a site appraisal in an eform and that the eform after completion stays on the mobile device. This is so that other technicians can see what has been completed in the eform during the execution of the work. Does anyone know if this is possible?

When in Print Customer Invoices the E-mail Invoice option is greyed out. The customer record has an email address defined and it is set to default for method. Can someone please advise why this would happen and how to resolve. Thank you.

Historical Work Orders

Hi Experts, As I know, ‘Finished’ & ‘Cancelled’ status WOs are viewed in ‘Historical Work Orders’ screen. But, if you look on the search option for ‘Status’, it shows two more options i.e. ‘END’ & ‘Reopened’ . So, can anyone please let me know the situations of those WOs ??? what are the instances of getting such status for WOs ??? Thanks, Thieuban

AP Invoice Matching

Hello everyone. We scan our invoices using FastAP and feed it into IFS. If we create a receiving document in IFS before the invoice is entered into IFS the system will automatically match it. If we enter the invoice into IFS before a receiving document is created we have to manually match the two. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Does anyone have a solution to this issue? New Lobby Element Not Appearing on Lobby Page

I am editing an existing Lobby we created and added a Description element. It’s on the page but when I view the Lobby Page in another session as a User, it doesn’t appear. If I then leave the Lobby Element Designer and reenter my Element is gone. How do I “save it” so it shows to the user? (plus I get an error- perhaps that’s why it doesn’t show?)

Combination Search in Aurena

Hi all, I would like to have some guidance over the development approach for the following layout in Aurena. I need to populate the details table on the basis of manually entering part no(s) . User may fill any of four part no. and check-uncheck checkboxes in header and then click on search. After clicking on search , these values should go only in where clause of detail table (as the part no. in header is not directly linked with detail table below) Do we have any such screen already available in Aurena? Apps 9 UD15 link between Purchase No Part Order Line and Project Delivery Address

Hi Community, In a similar manner to the question relating to Apps 10 Purchase Order and Project linkage, in Apps 9 Update 15, the No Part Order Line entry has the Delivery Address as a mandatory field. What would be the process to enable removal of the line delivery address? The rationale for this is that we have the head office site and the specific delivery location is at a different site, and the application of two different addresses is confusing to Suppliers. Before UD15 we were able to remove the line delivery address without error. Are we simply restricted to the process of changing the line or header delivery addresses to match? Any and all thoughts/guidance will be appreciated. Kind regards
