How to translate an Unit of Measure on the Purchase Order report?

Hi,I have created a new Unit of Measure and I want IFS to translate the description of the UoM depending on which language is chosen in the print order dialogue box in the Purchase Order. Where can I enter the translation for the description of the UoM?Where are on APPS10.

Change content of mWO Service Engineer Pool Work

I’m trying to make layout changes to the Touch App for a Service Engineer. One of the pages is the Pool Work. When I select Resource Group (Un)defined I get a proper list. However I want to make changes to the data shown (add field, move them around). I have opened the page designer and get the following:In other pages I was able to use the > sign at item 1 or in some cases the 3 dots at 2 would open up more. But not for this PoolTasksList. Anyone an idea? Regards,Steve

We are rolling out IFS 10 in a German subisdiary and they a highly automated payment flow.As per discussion, I am facing the same challenge. ISO and SEPA adds IFS Payment order reference in the EndToEndID tag but how do we verify that IFS can match that order / or order’s items by using the MT940DE fileformat ?We have tried to replicate their current MT940 returnfile with IFS Payment Order ID but this is not recognized - yet.What we are looking for is a way to know for sure that the items in the Paymnet Order can be acknowledged/paid by means of loading the MT940 bank statment into External Payments interface. The prepared references seems not to recogninse the EndToEndID tag value. Is there a particular set up requiered in the format message codes ?

How to record manufacturing transactions?

We are in the process of implementing IFS for the first time, so this might be a newbie problem, but this is my first time working with the RESTful APIs in IFS10. We have a 3rd party application that scans the barcodes of each product as it comes off our assembly line, and records a timestamp in a separate SQL database identifying when each finished good was completed. They are identified by the Work Order and Sequence # from the shop order. I’ve been tasked with modifying the app to push this info into IFS updating the work order. Unfortunately, I can’t simply close out the order line each time a product is completed because most order lines have large quantities. If the order line has a QTY of 70 (for example), I need to be able to log each one of the products as a unique transaction incrementing them until the total equals 70, then close the order line. How would I log these transactions in IFS? If it matters, we do not log finished goods into inventory. They are literally stacked o

Receive EDI 856 Acknowledgements from customer

I would like to set up IFS to receive 856 acknowledgements (997) from our customers. The end goal would be that it would update the shipment status to let our shipping associates whether the ASN was sent successfully or had errors. I found a reference to RECADV2 in the IFS Application Online Documentation under Shipment, Order Delivery but it appears to be a dead end.

Automatic training approval

HiOn IFS 10 update 8, it seems that approval on training registrations are no longer needed. When consulting the F1 help, it seems that automatic training approval is optional. However, I am unable to figure out where this is controlled. Has anybody figured this out? BR Kristian

Engineer working on multiple Sites & Companies

Is it possible for engineers to work across multiple sites within the same company and, additionally across multiple companies.I have a requirement for engineers to carry out work orders in this regard and have visibility of engineering stocks across all relevant sites / companies.Appreciate the answer to this will likely be down to setup, that is currently what I am struggling with. Certificate LDAPS for Active Directory IFS 10

How to configure the LDAPS connection in IFS10?When I connect to AD via port 389 (ldap) this is no problem, but when I connect via LDAPS 636 it shows the message:Failed to connect to LDAP service: simple bind failed: ldap server: 636.Seems to be a problem with SSL authentication. Help :)

Project cost registration - Non Personal. Automate.

Hello,I would like to register automatically purchase costs in the “Project cost registration -Non personal” window.When an expense sheet is authorized, automatically it is registered in the “Project cost registration - Personal” window. But, when a purchase order is invoiced or posted, it is not registered as a cost in this window.I could create an event, but I wonder if there is another way to get it.Best regards,Amaia

Posting Controls (New company setup) Best Practices

Is there any documentation on best practices for Posting Controls setup? We’re looking to have a better process for setting up posting controls when a new company is setup. Is there an easy way to copy them over from another company in mass? How do others handle this? Adding them on the fly as accounting runs into errors is not working. Surely there is a better/easier way?

Absence calculation

We enter an absence line in the result tab of time card for 4h with the tag “not removable” because the employee takes half a day of.Then on the day itself the employee will add a line “in normal” in the clocking tab and a line “out absence” total of 4h.After that we use a scheduled task that uses TIME_PERS_DIARY_UTIL_API.geerate_hours that calculates the result tab.But then we see that the calculated result gives us 3 lines:4h absence that we entered manually 4h work time as recorded 4h absence that was calculated to reach the 8h of their scheduleThe 3rd line should’t be added because we already put in 4h of absence.This looks like a bug to me or am I forgetting to add a parameter?

Functional Object status change notification

Hello, I am attempting to create a Streams notice for when the Operational Status of a Functional Object changes. Specifically, I would like an alert when the status changes to “Out of Operation”. I created an event and event action using the LU and column that I assumed was correct:However, the event is not triggering. I’ve tried various changes to the Event Action, but nothing is working. I’m not sure what I am missing with this setup, I’ve followed this same process for creating other notifications in IFS without issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Import Bank Statement example

Hi,I’m trying to import a bank statement into IFS 9 without any luck.I’m using the external file assistant.When I run the import I get the error: “No unpacked data found, check load file id”, and the log doesn’t tell me anything.I think the format of the import file is wrong. But I’m having trouble understanding how to read the file type.The file type has tree record types:Each record type has a column definition. Here is the one for the HEADER: Do I need to include all tree types in my imput file?Do I need to include all columns when non of them are mandatory?How do I understand the destination column?Is it possible to export an example of how the import file should look like?
