Base for Cost/Revenue Elements in Define Code String

Hello! I’ve been trying to clear down some operational transactions in order to change the base for cost/revenue elements from code part A project to another code part (with no function) I have cleared all the transactions and there are no errors. But when I try to change the base I still get an error: “It is not possible to change the base cost/revenue element as there are non-transferred PCM transactions” I’ve been trying to find out what PCM transactions are and where they are with no luck - Does anyone have any ideas on where this may be ? Apps10 environment totally locked up?

Has anyone else ever had Apps10 (UPD5 in our case) completely lock up and require stop and restart of the server services using mws-svr? In the most recent instance last week, after a successful STOP using mws-svr, the entire VM actually locked up during the START and required a ‘hard’ reboot from the VM console. No errors were seen in the logs at all; they just have no entries from after the time of the freeze showing a happy system doing normal processing until then. Unfortunately after the VM rebooted we had some file corruption and missing files that required a recovery from backup. I can’t tell for sure if the files were damaged or missing before the stop/start or if that happened from the forced VM reboot. So: Are we the only ones seeing anything like this? Has anyone else experienced issues with IFS Applications Server just stopping, or with files becoming corrupted or missing during normal operation? Thanks, Nick

How to show toolbar again?

Hi, I’m starting to use IFS Application. It’s a Windows Client running on Windows 10 Professional. I was reading the on line help and doing the excercises proposed on the e-learning page. When working with the toolbar, I used the contextual menu to hide diferent toolbars. Suddenly, I hided all the toolbars and I can not find the way to show the toolbar again. I’ve looked in every menu available, and tried with the secondary mouse button on the menu. Budget Process & Budget Version

Hi IFS Community, I am trying learn on IFS Application functionality on Budgeting. I see that budget can be maintained in two ways :Budget Process & Budget Version. And also Budget Version can be updated from Budget Process. I am not clear about the practical usage of this. Does any of you has a good example how these are used real business What would be best practice to use these two options? And also can we handle forecasting from this functionality?

IFS2003 - missing executable

Don’t laugh - I know, 2003, yeah! Does anyone have a copy of the Data Import executable that allows you to load in new records, and update existing data in IFS2003. I cannot remember the name of it. Since my laptop rebuild, I have lost it! IFS support didn’t want to know. Thanks in advance. TIm

Project managers and expense sheets of their projects

The access to expense sheets is controlled by “Position – Access Setup” in IFS. This way, a project manager will be able or not to visualize the expense sheets connected to his/her project depending on the position of the employees. Customer would like that a project manager could have access to all the expense sheets that belonged to his/her own project. The only way knows to achieve this target is enabling all the project managers the access to all the positions. But, if define this way, all the project managers could be able to visualize every expense sheet of any employee in any project, even if they had not access to the project. Customer have tried to define a new “access attribute” adding as a column name a custom field, but it is not included in the value list. Also have tried to define as the “old value” in the “access attribute” a select sentence, but it is considered as an invalid value when try to save it.cannot use an event either because all want is to visualize, not to m

FSM Mobile - Save photo Attachments

Hello In FSM 5.7 mobile, when attaching photos, you can only take the photo and save within FSM but not to your camera roll. This is an issue as there have been many instances of the file getting corrupted and unable to retrieve it since it only exists in the attachment database. Is there a way to allow the app to save these photos to the camera roll as well? I know users can upload there own photos but you have to navigate through android root menus and that is not user friendly

APPS 10 UPD3 to UPD7 UPGRADE

Hi, We are upgarding APPS10-UPD3 to UPD7. When we are deploying it from Installer it is working fine without any issue and and no invalid objects. Its successful. But when we are deploying it manually using install.tem, there are issue and the upgrade is failing. Is there any more scripts we need to execute before the install.tem? Hide Customers from List of Values

Is there a way to archive or close customers so that they do not appear on any list of values search? We are looking to use the Service Quotation functionality and when opening the list of values we a customer list of 1600. A number of these customers will no longer be active but I cannot see how to set a customer to expired or closed, so that they no longer appear on lists of values.

Purchase Order Print Out - manufacturer No

Does anyone know why this extra line called “Manufacturer No” would print on your embedded purchase order print out ? It just started happening for us for all Sites PO’s (all lines regardless if part or no part line) Thank you

Std Report migration from IFS v8 to v10

hi, We are upgrading to V10, current standard reports in 8 needed to be imported to 10. Some suggested the version change is not an issue just needed to update the layout in 10. We have minor customisation on these reports and don't have developer license so cant do any changes to run in version 10. Will the reports work as it is in v10 if no customisation done in v8 reports with customisation what are the chances report may work in 10 thank you

Quick Report: How to Display the PromptWindow w/o any Parms

We have a quick report with no parameters, but we want the Parameters window to pop up to show Comments in which we’ve documented each column on the report. Can this be done? How do you document your quick reports for users since there’s not other place to put user info?

Embedded Work Order Print out with barcode

We are trying to add a barcode for the work order number to print on the embedded work order copy. They look fine in the crystal report designer, but when viewing them in IFS, the barcode either shrinks to a size that is too small to scan or it disappears entirely, all depending on the font size used for the barcode in the crystal report. We tried a different barcode font to try and installed it on the Windows server. We restarted the server to ensure the font installed properly. We tried different things in the crystal report to try to make it work, but nothing worked. We have tested and we can successfully print and scan barcodes on a Quick Report. Therefore there is something about the process that IFS uses when exporting the embedded reports to PDF that is causing the barcode formatting problem Anyone have a similar issue? Apps 9

Find fields being used in a lobby

We want to analyze in which lobbies (and quick reports and events) a specific database field is being used, but we can’t find the queries used by lobbies somewhere in the database. Can anybody tell me, where these information can be found?

Default Value on Shop Order Custom Field

When I release a customer order that has a manufactured order line, it creates a shop order. One of the custom fields on ShopOrd has a default value, but no record gets created on SHOP_ORD_CFT, so the default value isn’t set when the shop order gets created. How do I ensure the SHOP_ORD_CFT record gets created when the shop order is created from a customer order?
