We are using Project Deliverables for a customer and in the created structure in Project Deliverables in a first stage, we want to add a purchase plan for components with a long lead time to have them ordered in an earlu stage of the project. In a second phase the complete BOM is been created and pieces are copied from PDM to have it built. In that complete structure with a “top part” that has a shop order plan and an underlying structure with supply option “PMRP” we have those long lead time components again because they are also part of the structure. Although we would like to choose the supply option in such a way that IFS would recognize that they were already ordered with the purchase plan and no new demand from project deliverables is been created.Does anyone has an idea whether this is possible and how to manage this?Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks,Kurt
Hi, my customer is running IFS10 UPD9 at the moment and in that environment on Database Objects engineering_part_revision_api is not visible and cannot be selected or unselected. Does anyone her knows from which update this was available? I know it is visible in UPD16, but I want the exact update number and the notes related to this bug/patch. thanks,Kurt
I have an “old” component in a buildable structure that is no longer available. I have put the part in Inventory Part on a “no-supply allowed”-status and have the part superseded by another part. How can I make it happen that when I have demand for the old part, IFS will take the supersession into account and generates supply for the “superseded by”-part? I understood that that would be the functionality but in my tests it doesn’t seem to work.In a second option I used “Alternate Part” for this bust also this is not been taken into account for MRP calculation and demand/supply for the new part to replace the old one.Anyone suggestions on this? If this functionalities are not working this way, what is then the real benefit of supersession and/or alternate parts?
Hi, I have a customer who is using 2 sites (A and B) for inventory and manufacturing. For that they have defined inventory parts that are existing on both sites, also as supplier for purchase part:Site A: primary supplier = external ; secondary supplier = Site BSite B: primary supplier = Site AWhen I want to make this parts “Multi-site Planned” at both sites, I get the error message of a “Supply Loop”. I understand that there is a loop created, but not as default supply chain. We still want the possibility to use both site A and B as supplier for the other site because we will keep inventory at both sites and in some cases it will be quicker to supply from the other site then externally. Is there a way to overcome this issue?thanks,Kurt
Hi All, Is there a possibility to see a Gantt of my Project Baseline or history logs so I can compare planning details in a visual way? thanks,Kurt
Hi all, We would like to connect documents to mixed payments in IFS, but when I look to “Document Basic: Object Types for Access Control” and I go to Object Type MixedPayments, then I don’t see “Get_Document_Access” available as method. Is that correct, or do I miss something here? thank you!Kurt
Hi allFrom the requisition tab of a work order, a purchase requisition was made and a PO was created and released resulting in a “close” status of the requisition on the WO tab. Now, I want to cancel the PO again, but I get the message that there are peggings connected to the PO line and I have to remove the pegging first. Problem is, I cannot do anything from the WO screen to remove the pegging, so I’m stuck. How can I solve this? thanksKurt
