Hi community, Customer is upgrading to Apps 10 UPD 12. During the upgrade following DB Locks has prevented the upgrade and took around 5 hours to complete. Upon a knowledge search, and confirmed with customer that,no modifications made to the Foundation role “TOUCHAPPS_RUNTIME” 'TOUCHAPPS_RUNTIME' role has not 'Fndmob_Installation_API' granted Customer has seen this on all upgrades made in Apps 10 for them so far,Does anyone know a possible reason for this and possible solutions?
Hi community,Using Azure AD for authentication.I have two questions.What’s the behavior of the system, after expiring the session ID which has a limit of default 30 min? Will a new Session ID generated and client stay connected or should the client/user has to login again? Is there any way to extend the lifetime of 30mins session? Appreciate any input. /Nimesh

Hi community,Product: App9 - UPD16 A customer has 24/7 service globally and they are scheduled to run Refresh All Inventory Parts twice a day. It’s running for 2+ hours sometimes (not identified the situation). Usually it runs within 10mins for them. Since they have many mobile users connecting to the system during the same time period, and since the job locks all these user sessions, the system run out of the connection pool and goes down for all users. Question:Can this job “Refresh All Inventory Parts” scheduled to be run based on site? So that they can schedule few jobs where each job runs in off-peak time for each site. Appreciate any inputs.

I thought of sharing the steps with others.If you're getting following error during the initialization of MWO Service 10 app or MWO Maintenance 10 app, you may able to solve the issue by following the steps below. Error:INITFAILED:Initialization failed due to app redeployment. Solution:1. Go to IEE > Solution Manager > Background Processing > Background Jobs > Database Processes2. Search for: 2.1) If IFS MWO Service 10: %ServiceEngApp% 2.2) If IFS MWO Maintenance 10: %MaintEngApp% 3. If the shown database processes are DISABLED: 4. RMB on the record(s) > Reactivate 5. Now processes must be in either 'RUNNING' or 'SCHEDULED' state. 6. Go back to MWO Service 10/ MWO Maintenance 10 app > Force Initialize (Or you can log in again) Now the app might initialize without errors. Hope this helps. Cheers. /Nimesh

If you're getting the following error when opening a large Heap dump file via Eclipse Memory Analyzer (MAT), follow the steps given to solve the issue. ProblemError when opening larger Heap dumps. ReasonEclipse Memory Analyzer does not have enough heap space to open the Heap dump file. Solutionopen the MemoryAnalyzer.ini file change the default -Xmx1024m to a larger size (Ex: Xmx2048m)Now you’ll be able to open the Heap dump file. Hope this helps. Cheers!
