This is in Cloud 23R1. Trying to create bookmarks using #USER_ID# and other search macros (that’s what apps 9 called them). Purpose is to have a profile with a bookmark to active work reported by the current user so our operators can keep up with their requests. When you make a bookmark IFS replaces #USER_ID# with the current user... SAVED SEARCHES do not do this, the macro value is saved... Is this a limitation or am I doing it wrong? We need a bookmark, not a saved search. This profile doesn’t require or use any saved searches. We don’t want to introduce saved searches to this user group. Is there a way to make this work as a bookmark? Perhaps I need to do it to the profile’s XML export now that I’m thinking about it, but we shouldn’t have to do that.
It’s easy enough to set a default homepage, but how can we unset the default page so the user is shown the ‘Welcome’ page again with recent screens? I don’t see anything in Account Settings analogous to the IEE homepage that I can clear. Clearing the user profile does not clear the default homepage either. Is there another way? I think I’m going to check the path to the ‘Welcome’ page with another user account who hasn’t made a default selection so I can copy/paste it, but that’s not feasible for everyone.
In IFS Apps 9 there was just a planned start date field and it persisted through the maintenance process in the Maintenance Plan. Here’s PM No 14866 in Apps 9 showing completed work with a Planned Start Date.Finished work orders still show a planned date in IEE IFS Cloud drops the Planned Start value from the maintenance plan when the work task generates for some reason…All the lines with a Generation Date no longer have a planned start here in the Aurena thingyHowever the planned start is still in the database if you look at pm_calendar_plan.planned_date. What’s the difference between these fields? Between the page designer and debug console I’m not even sure which field Due Date is. Is the Due Date pm_calendar_plan.base_date? As a pain point, this makes the user look at an additional column to review preventive maintenance history. Right now I just need to make sure they’re supposed to be about the same thing for reporting.
IFS is very column dependant. The record picker is pretty, but the drop down record selector works fine in most cases and does not consume page width. It would be more useful to see 2 more columns on a page rather than the record picker each time the page loads for our business. Here is a single record with the record picker all prominent with it’s single record. Record picker was previously hidden, but displays with a single record It would be nice if it remembered that we want it hidden because we would rather see a couple additional columns. We’ll end up hiding the picker each time to avoid having to scroll to get a couple more columnsThis thing works just fine if the picker stays hidden. It would be nice if the picker wasn’t so proud of itself and could stay hidden.
The debug console covers the horizontal scrollbar making you switch it on and off if need to side-scroll. Change the page to allow horizontal scrolling with the debug console open. There should be a general subforum. This applies to many ‘IFS Solutions’.
