Hi, I created a quite simple projection with an action ‘GetNextPartNo’ that has no parameters and returns a number. Model looks like action GetNextPartNo Number { initialcheck none;} It is implemented in plsvc file as FUNCTION Get_Next_Part_No___ RETURN NUMBERISBEGIN RETURN Eng_Part_Master_API.Generate_Part_No();END Get_Next_Part_No___; I can deploy it to int-node but when I test it with postman I get { "error": { "code": "ODP_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR", "message": "Error while de-serializing contents." }}But this would mean that my json document would not fit to the model. But I have no body in my message which could be wrong as the action has no parameters. Any hints?
If documents are attached to an object in IFS Applications they are always shown as tiles with only few information. In IEE you could configure if they should be shown as symbol, list or details. Is there a similar possibility in Aurena to show all attached documents in a table with the possibility of selecting columns, filter data, etc.?
Hi,several customers who use Aurena client in Apps 10 or IFS Cloud ask for the old functionality to configure the attachment panel if it should show icons, lists or details. Of course it is possible to press the button ‘Document Revisions’ to see all the details of all attached documents. Is it on the roadmap for DocMan to offer a possibilty for getting the table view of all connected documents in the attachment panel? This should not be a big modification and would help all customers who have lot of documents attached.Best regardsHeinz
Does anybody have experience with the performance of the repository type ‘File Storage’ compared to ‘Database’?I would expect that it’s a little bit slower to download a file from Cloud File Storage than reading it from the database. But how big is the difference really? (Did anybody measure it? E. g. is it just about 50ms more?) Does the difference depend on the file size? (Means: Is downloading from ‘File Storage’ much slower for big files?) Does is depend on the number of files? (Means: Will ‘File Storage’ get much slower if you have millions of files?)Any practical experience is highly appreciated.
In the Entity-model we have the information if the access to a record should be restricted. (XML-Tag ‘DB_ROW_LEVEL_SECURITY’) While most information from Entity-model is stored in DICTIONARY_SYS_xxx, I can’t find the information from DB_ROW_LEVEL_SECURITY. Does anybody have a hint for me where this information is stored in the database?
Cloud File Storage Migration Tool can be used to migrate media items from older releases into Cloud File Storage of IFS Cloud release. But I didn’t find an information that the tool supports archived media items in the source system. Can Cloud File Storage Migration Tool also be used to migrate archived media items even if it’S not documented? If not, what would be a practicable way to migrate archived media items in Apps10 to Cloud File Storage in R24?The volume of media items is extremely big (several TB). Therefore, it’s not an option to first migrate all media items to the Apps 10 database before running the Cloud File Storage Migration Tool.
Hi,it's the first time that one of our customers would like to use DocMan with Aurena client. I’ve already learned that 'Document Import Action' will not be available. Are there any alternatives to customize an Outlook integration? (Panel functionality won’t be sufficient to meet customer’s expectation.) Are there more features or functionalities that are not available with Aurena? If you already have experience with it, it would be nice if you could share it with me. Best regards, Heinz
Up to Applications 10 it was possible to manage originals and lend originals. Probably this was not used very often. I can’t find this functionality in IFS Cloud. Is it just solved in a different way or was it removed?
Has anybody tried to create a Sales Quotation via existing REST APIs? Problem is that SalesQuotationHandling.svc does not have a ‘normal’ POST method to create new records. If I use log functionality in Aurena client to see which methods are called by the client, I can even see methods with do not exist in API documentation and also not in Postman after importing the API specification. E. g. Aurena client calls ‘SalesQuotationHandling.svc/OrderQuotationSet/IfsApp.SalesQuotationHandling.OrderQuotation_Default()’. But if you search in Postman, the only ‘Default’ function is not in ‘OrderQuotationSet’, but in ‘SalesQuotationVirtualSet’. Therefore, I’m quite confused. It’s even getting more strange: I tried same thing on a different environment (same version, same customer, but DEV instead of CFG) and there I have a normal ‘POST’ method to create a new record. So, why does API Explorer show the wrong information in one environment? So, please share your experience with me.
Hi,my customer uses WaDaCo solution and it works fine as long as you enter data via keyboard. But it does not work with a scanner.Scanner is installed as a keyboard and it is configured to append CRLF to the scanned value. If you open Notepad++ and scan a barcode, you can see that values are transferred correctly: But if you open WaDaCo and scan the barcode, the value is also transferred correctly to the WaDaCo client. But the window can no longer be used. It stucks and you have to kill it with task manager: So, I’m quite sure that the CRLF at the end is wrong. In an existing topic I read that ‘enter’ should be used. I thought that ‘enter’ is CRLF. But obviously I’m wrong.Does anybody know, what would be the correct escape sequence/control codes? We already tried it with a tab instead or even without an escape sequence. Both did not work. Thanks in advance for all hints.
