We have discovered that a manual Unissue of Materials from a Shop Order effectively recalculates the Expiration date on the Inventory Part In Stock record. We have a Durability Days value on the Inventory Part. When I unissue the Lot/Batch, the Inv Part in Stock record appears to calculate an expiry date based on this Receipt (back into Stock) as today + durability days, rather than against the original PO Arrival date. Before I fire this off the IFS support, is this correct behaviour? We don’t think so! We are old-school - IFS2003 (sorry!)
HI all (this is IFS2003 - I know, I know...) I recall someone long ago creating a Saved query that could be shared amongst our users, that looked for (say) Approvals for that user. The dynamic code meant it could be passed around without need to change the Advanced query. For instance, instead of USERID = ‘BLOGGSF’,I thought we could use USERID = (select Ifsapp.fnd_session_api.get_fnd_user()from dual)but this generates the error “fnd_session_api is not a procedure or is undefined”How can I get this to work, or is there an alternative?Would be good to do this for PersonId too. Thanks
Hi IFS champions! We want to capture hours spent making tooling for our production process. We have explored using Work Orders, Shop Orders but both have their pitfalls as well as benefits.Ideally, need to capture time spent (real-time or retrospectively) against each Tooling item manufactured. Needs to be a simple process as these colleagues are not IT literate! We are not currently doing anything with tooling, apart from creating them in IFS and attaching them to the Shop Order for manufacturing.Any thoughts? n.b. we are on IFS2003 :(
Hi AllI know I have seen the answer before, I just cannot find it. I recall someone advising where to go in IFS (2003) to get a list of Transaction Codes and descriptions of them. Can anyone help, please? Thanks! Tim,
Don’t laugh - I know, 2003, yeah! Does anyone have a copy of the Data Import executable that allows you to load in new records, and update existing data in IFS2003. I cannot remember the name of it. Since my laptop rebuild, I have lost it! IFS support didn’t want to know. Thanks in advance. TIm
We have started using Consignment Stock for Supplier-owned stock. We want to be able to identify such stock within the “Inventory Part In Stock” data. I could join to Inv Trans Hist using the Part_no/contract/Lot_batch_no to get the CO-ARRIVAL record, but at 75 million Inv Trans Hist rows, even forcing an index takes a very long time in an SQL statement. Any ideas as to how I can include/exclude within some of our Inventory Part In Stock reports? We are running IFS2003!
We have one Shop Order that we have split (from the Shop Order Screen) which has resulted in UNISS transactions occuring, causing us grief with our data. The Shop Order has a status of “Started” and some operation lines are “Partially Reported”. I have other Shop Orders that are in the same state, but which do NOT generate UNISS transactions. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I am hoping it is a specific setting we are unaware of on the Shop Order or Inventory Part but cannot see anything.
Version - IFS2003 We have a user who often exports Quick Report Navigator Crystal Reports to excel using the Export icon. On his old laptop, he has the option to export to MS Excel 97-2000 whereas the new client build only has older options (Excel 5.0, Excel 7.0, Excel 8.0). 97-2000 gives better formatting of data into Excel. We know that the F1 Runtime part of a client install loads Crystal runtime components onto the client and we think we have installed something else on is old laptop in the past to give him the 97-2000 option but don’t know what. We have compared like with like and cannot see a difference. Any ideas where the dlls might be that give him the option for Excel 97-2000? Thanks in advance. What we want: What we get when we install IFS:
We have split from our parent company, and since disconnecting from there network, IFSEvents has stopped because it cannot use their mailhost. Where do we set the Mailhost for IFS Events to use to send emails? Yes- we are that far behind the times with IFS2003!
