As we know, the Project Navigator window in IEE contained almost everything we needed for the project. For those of us who are using Cloud21, we’ve learned that it is now split up into many windows. However, working with a customer using R1 SU7, I accidently came across a window called...wait on it...Project Navigator. However, there was nothing there - just some gray rectangles, like it is a placeholder window. Does anyone know something about this? Is there plans for a IEE-equivalent Project Navigator window in Cloud21?Thanks
IFS version: Cloud21, R1: There was an earlier topic about the need to configure the attachment pane, so users have the option to use a more space efficient table view. (Similar to in IEE) Hopefully, that is on the development horizon. In the meantime, the card view really needs to display the document class and description. This is essential. Otherwise, there is no way for sure what the doc actually is, except to guess based on the title. A spec, a SOW, a test procedure? As this is a primary key for the doc, it is a must.
In the Project window (i.e. Project Scope and Supply) the Documents tab allows a user to create a document directly from the Project/Subproject/Activity. We promote this as best practice--creating the document directly from the applicable object--as you don’t have to add an additional step to connect the document. This is especially true in the Projects world, as documentation is often extensive in project-based industries. In Apps 10, this works as expected: in the Documents tab I use the function to create a new document and, when I finish, it is connected to the object I created it from: the project, subproject, or activity. However, in Cloud21, I follow this same process but, when complete, the new document is not connected. I have to exit the project, look for the document, and then manually connect it. Is this a bug or a gap in the design?
