Hi. we are using APPs 10 and have just started using the electronic Kanban replenishment function to replenish our line side stores.however we have came across an small issue of a Kanban replenishment request generating a transportation task for two different batch's of the same material to supply the Kanban demand of 300 ml of Loctite 770. (below)The problem is the inventory is a liquid raw material in a 300 ml container which we are not able to decant.in this example we have set the Kanban circuit Qty to 300ml (same quantity as 1 can of Loctite) thinking it would only fulfil the demand if there is enough stock of the same batch available. is there away setting that creates a rule only inventory with equal or great than on hand stock is used to replenish the Kanban replenishment request?regardsJamie
Hi. I am using IFS APPs 10 and would like to know what is the best method to adopt to forecast potenial demand against current capacity, for example we already have an active product structure for a sales part but wanted to see what the demand load would look against our current capacity if we were to receive an order for X amount.should we manually create the top-level part demand, run MRP and view the demand via Resource Analysis and then cancle the demand?any suggestions would be helpful regardsJamie

Morning I am using IFS Apps 10 and having an error trying to manually un-issue material from a shop order. When i go to enter the quantity to un-issue i get the error message below stating ‘the quantity of material trying to un-issue is greater that the quantity available on this transaction’ but when checking the inventory part transaction history you can see that the quantity issues to the shop order is equal to the quantity i am trying to un-issue. does anyone know what is causing this error messages and how to get round this? regards,Jamie
Hi. We keep keeping the same error message when trying to stop production via the shopfloor work bench. The operations have been signed off and there is not inspection sign off.Does anyone know what is causing this? regards Jamie
Hi Community we are using IFS APP 10 and using the process ‘shop order infinite scheduling’ to schedule our production plans. we are trying to establish a best practice for reviewing and actioning action proposals generated when we run MRP weekly. Currently only a few of the action proposals and actioned and the rest generally ignored.does anyone know of documentation that can identify a best practice or standard approach to take when reviewing action proposals?I'm guessing not all action proposals are equal? so I am trying to identify the hierarchy of importance so our planning department can filter those action proposals on the MRP action proposal workbench. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.kind regardsJamie
Hi we are using apps 10 and wanted to know if there is a setting or configuration that can set the dates below on the Resource Analysis screen red if the dates are in the past from now?regardsJamie
Good morning We are currently using IFS Apps 10 and have a question of best practise when it comes to arrears handling. Our business provides engineering and manufacturing service a multitude of sectors with all orders being MTO. We process a mix of new and repeat components in large and small batch sizes. We have a current situation of having multiple custom order line due date past due (total past due hours on average 1800) which results in all lower-level supply/ demand being past due. This creates the problem of not being able to provide a realistic manufacturing plan to the shop floor departments and purchasing plans to procurement due to the fact we are unable to travel back in time to manufacture/ place an order. The planning base data has been validated, routing times, structures and lots sizes all correct. My question is how have other people handled this situation before? Do we plan in arrears and hope we catch up which seems unlikely as we are always loading new work?Do we not
