I know about barcodes more than IFs, but what is generating and reading the barcode? Barcode readers can be programed to only recognize letters and numbers or either. If you are using EAN, UPC or ITF codes (or a couple more), they don’t allow symbols. If you generate the label with your part number using a printing program like Dymo, does your reader read the “+” symbol? I know when we were developing our system “BarTender” was suggested as an add on program to generate labels. Not sure what is native in IFs.
Welcome to Aurena, may this be the worst thing you encounter. You may have figured out how to remove a bookmark without having to remove all bookmarks from a group.
We are implementing IFS and using Aurena as our only interface. The developers and consultants go between the two systems, but the employees stay in Aurena. We have not launched Lobbies yet, that will help. I am an ME and do Routings, Structures and assist with the shop. Our old system (NAV 2004, with tons of custom scripts) had an ITEM Card, and from the Item card, you could click into history, orders, supplier, basically all information about the item. It was a very simple system, actually way too simple. I’m sure in time IFS will be good, right now, we are struggling with scrap and replenishment to the lines, MRB activities amongst other issues. There are just a lot of steps to perform what should be native and run like macros in my opinion. Having to to into reservation entries should be part of the program, not the interface.
Thanks for the answer, just one more almost finished items in Aurena. What a shocker.
I just tried in our test database and it seems to work by creating a pick list by order number. I will test on site tomorrow.
I am new to IFS, we launch Jan 2022. Your answer is very helpful, but I was not clear in my question. I think the information will help in my case, but I need to know about combining pick lists as part of Shop Order processing. When a pick list is created for a SO, there are numerous lines, I would like to make a new pick list with all of the items so the inventory person only has to pick one pick list with multiple items instead of multiple pick lists with only one item.
If you put your curser over the message it stays until you move the curser.
