Hi KgrayWe did resolve it and although the exact details now escape me it was a case of granting the IFSPRINT permission to all the views (including IAL’s) that the report was using- sometimes the Crystal log can be difficult to interpret /misleading so definitely worth checking them allI think we probably refreshed the various IFS cache’s as well before the changes took affect. I also think we have had to restart IIS on the print server previously after making changes as well, so also worth a try if everything else look as it shouldHope that helps
Thankyou Matt, inexplicably I had totally missed this. The lack of ‘count hits’ in the Aurena search that was there in EE seems like a backward step, but I’m certainly not the first to flag it by the look of other posts on here
Thanks @Marcel.Ausan, but we don’t seem to have the same options. This screenshot might be a bit clearer:
Thanks Himarshi. We have tried running it outside of normal business hours but with the same result so will give it a go using Object Group to reduce the numbers. We had considered this but thought it worth exploring other options in case there was a way of tracing the real error
Hi MarkWe didn’t spend much time on this to work out if there was a better way than using the notes field. I guess there maybe but we just used the following SQL as we were going to hold the data outside of IFS and could just pass it into the API so it worked for us: select RESULT_KEY, ID, LAYOUT_NAME, Substr(NOTES, REGEXP_INSTR(NOTES, 'Customer No:') +13,6) as CUSTOMER_NO,Substr(NOTES, REGEXP_INSTR(NOTES, 'Invoice No:') +12,11) as INVOICE_NO from IFSAPP.PDF_ARCHIVEwhere trunc(CREATED) = '19-APR-23' Hope that helpsChris
Thanks @Charith Epitawatta for all your help
Many thanks both for the quick and informative responses. For our use case the solution provided by Charith is most suitable but I do have a follow on question regarding how you identified the “PdfArchiveSet” endpoint. The API documentation is reasonably good but it seem to me only when you know the endpoint that is most suitable as it does not contain a description of what each endpoint does. The debugger and log window can help with identifying the endpoints but if Aurena doesn’t log it through them is there any other way I could have identified the PdfArchiveSet as the correct one to use?
