Package with stock impact

The possibilities to connect a HU type or accessory to an inventory part and that way be able to automatically track consumption when packing and then have better support for replenishing packing material is something that is started to be developed as part of the 23R2 release.So currently in Apps10 this is not supported unless you manually decrease the qty on hand for the inventory part that represent the packing material (HU type or accessory).

Packing material consumed

@CheSusumY , EnzoFerrari: I would say that in core we do not support “consume packing material”. Here I am assuming that you mean keeping track of the actual packing material in more or less like an inventory part. So when packing parts into HU you would at the same time consume one piece of that packing material/HU in inventory. And then also have support for a proper replenishment process. There might be some functionality for this in the ASC extension.In core the HU ID will however be reausable so the same HU ID could be reused after first have been delivered to a customer - I think pallet scenario is one that fits this description.I know that packing material that can be consumed and replenish is part of future roadmap for supply chain but can’t promise you a specific release or date for this being added.When using “Count as zero” for a HU as mentioned above it actually means counting the content of the HU as zero - the HU ID will still remain but then be empty.

avoid Handling Unit picking when picking entire HU to shipment

I think it is the fact that shipment is in state Complete that prevent you from making any changes to HU structure.If you first do “Undo Complete” on shipment you should be able to remove parent HU from inner HU so that it becomes a HU directly connected to shipment. This should be possible even though HU are in shipment inventory. So then by manually removing all the HU from your parent HU that should remain in inventory (not to be delivered) you should be able to just deliver the inner HU.

Move parts to different location type

In order to enter basic inspection results you first need to enter a Qty to Inspect on the receipt. Then you can use the dialog for Register Inspection Results either from detailed Receipt window or the overview for Inspection Management. It is possible to enter these basic inspection results (enter qty to return or scrap) on any locatión type as long as it is in the context of a receipt.If you approved all parts on a QA location for a receipt the “Move to Location” will suggest a move to a pick location. An alternative is to use putaway logic if that has been setup.An alternative to using this basic way of registering inspection results related to a receipt is to use control plans. Those describe more about the actual tests to be performed and entering the actual results of those tests. Control plans can be used both in receipt as well as later in warehouse if one identifies that something is wrong with parts in inventory. For the later it is good to also consider use of Part Availabi

Move parts to different location type

To move parts to a arrival or QA location, the move itself needs to be done in the context of the purhase order receipt (a receipt ref is needed for these location typed. So you need to find the PO receipt and then use move function on PO receipt to move to a QA location. If part is not at the latest picking location as identified on the PO receipts you first have to move it to that location. Hope this helps.

Transport Task with Order Type = Shop Order

The order type on transport task line indicates the source of creating this move. For shop order this could be when a move to a location is generated through putaway logic. The created transport task to move parts to final stock location will then have a order type and order refs refering to the shop order for which the move should be performed.

GS1 Application Identifier

Hi,Actually the Alt Handling Unit is not related to GS1 standard - it is a freetext field where any additional reference to the handling unit could be entered (like suppliers own HU reference). This information is given as help text in those places where the Alt Handling Unit ID is used, for example handling unit page - see below.If one wants to use a GS1 reference for the handling unit ID one should use the SSCC field which can be generated for the handling unit according to SSCC basic data. But then I guess your question could be more WADACO specific as the GS1 Application Identifier is part of the WADACO configuration setup. Perhaps Wadaco team can help out here? - I will try to move this topic to that category.

Aurena Lobby Element

I will try to get back to your follow-up question on where to add URL link for Aurena elements.So for Aurena pages I understand that “Web Access URL Address” in Lobby Element Designer should point to the Aurena page you want to navigate to (yellow marking below): I am using a Transport Task element as example. If using the element in IEE it would instead be the field for URL address pointing to the corresponding IEE client that is used (and Web Access URL Address field being empty) But these links are primarly to support navigation to the page behind the element. Actually the problem you describe seems to be more related to the actual data displayed in element as such and I think that is defined in data source designer. The elements that I have tried out copying from IEE to Aurena still have the same definitions in data source designer and display values in both Aurena and IEE. Then again I am not an expert on lobbies, hopefully anmise can help out here to see what the problem is.

SHIPMENT INVENTORY COUNT REPORTS

Hi Matthew This will not be possible as it is not allowed to perform counting on quantities that are reserved and connected to another object like customer order or shipment. This is actually the same limitation that exists for nornal counting but then you usually have some “free stock” on the same location for which you could adjust the counting with. Compare with that you would try to count to a qty less than qty reserved on a location - that would not be allowed even for normal stock. In shipment inventory quantities are always fully reserved and hence not possible to adjust via counting.

I am not an expert on lobby design but as I understand you will have to have an Aurena designated element which have links navigating to a “Web Access URL Address” pointing at an Aurena page rather than the “URL address” which points to an form in IEE.

Serial/ Lot Batch Number not Transferring in Inter Site Customer Order

Just adding a small explanation - the reason for this working when delivering parts between sites in the same company is that in that scenario there is the additional requirement that the parts are owned by the same company even under the time of delivery - so this is kept as tracking information in the internal order transit object which includes lot batch and serials. When delivering between sites in different companies it is the same scenario (at least from a financial perspective) as receiving goods from an external supplier. So there is no need for using internal order transit to keep track of financial value (or you wouldn’t even know for an external delivery). So hence no tracking information available in internal order transit for that scenario. But as mentioned in previous post you can get that information sent to demand site by using dispatch advice.

Undo Delivery for Intersite (Internal) Customer Orders?

Checking documentation the page help gives the following comment regarding internal orders and shipments: “Undo customer order delivery of parts delivered from an internal customer order, it is not possibile to cancell the internal customer order delivery when originating purchase order is in status Received or Arrived For shipment deliveries, you could only cancel the shipment as a whole from the header. This would move the shipment back to Complete state if it was closed. For consolidated shipment, you should undo delivery per shipment.” So it seems like it should be possible to undo delivery for the whole shipment as long as parts has not been received on demand site. If parts have already been received on demand site it will not be possible to Undo Delivery and one will need to use the return flow from receipts and then RMA on supply side as described in previous post. So the main reason here is the internal order transit object in which the system keeps track on inventory stock

Shipping Unattached Lines

It will not be possible to complete this shipment. There is a restriction which means that if one have started to attach lines to HU on a shipment, all lines needs to be attached. Then there an option to deliver shipment without attaching any of the shipment lines to HU. To use that option one should use set the option to “Unattached Shipment Lines Allowed”. This value can be dfaulted on the basic data for Customer / Address / Order Address Info Here is help text for “Unattached Shipment Lines Allowed” checbox on shipment header which more or less gives the same answer as above: “Unattached Shipment Lines Allowed If this check box is selected, the shipment can be set to status Complete when having a handling unit structure defined without having to connect any shipment lines to the structure. However, if any shipment line has been connected to the structure, the system will require that all shipment lines that are connected to the shipment are connected to the structure as well. By d

Case quantities & Packing instructions

Hi @svrmhuebner, From what I read in your description you have only created basic data for packing instructions and handling unit types? In order to run automatic packing you also have to define handling unit capacity for the part - how many parts is to be packed into the HU. This can be done in Part Catalog record (Master Part) for the part. And then if you only have single level HU structure (not box in box or on pallet) you actually don’t need a packing instruction (they are used for multi-level HU structure or for adding packing accessories). If there is a handling unit capacity defined you can then use the RMB for Pack into HU, either on shipment header or per Unattached Shipment Lines record in HU structure on shipment. That will automatically generate the required number of HU with defined qty per part. If you define a packing instruction the same can be achieved using RMB Pack According to Packing Instruction. Note that you should not use Apply Packing Instruction if you want
