Error while creating the RMA in IFS Apps 9 (Global Extension Patch)

Hi all,My client is currently using IFS Apps 9 (Global Extension ) Country Solution-INDIA.When i am adding a line and selecting the sales part details in the Return Material Authorization window and when i save it i get an error "The Field Price/Base incl Tax Dmy must have a value".I am not sure why i am getting this error. Has anybody faced this error in this version of the application?Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

IFS10 ADFS enabled and user get Bad Request 400 with EE

After enabling ADFS, Aurena is working as expected but Enterprise Explorer is not working.User logon to EE get a Bad Request 400 and detail log showing this: Ifs.Fnd.AccessProvider.Interactive.FndLoginDialog.AuthenticateCredentials(FndLoginCredentials loginCreds) ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. HiWe would like to have all users to logon to EE without first start application with shift and there enable SSO. Did try to find if there is a reg or file written, but no luck.Anyone know where this SSO settings resides on the local client ?/Karl

Database Task Custom Schedule

Fields not compared in ‘Compare Shop Order with Structure and Routing’

When comparing shop_order_operation with routing_operation not all fields are considered/updated. E.g note_text. You have to delete the shop order operations first. Is there a way to compare all fields?

mWo Service 10 UI Designer

I have a question. Do you know if the UI designer is available now in mWo Service 10? In the past I could create a custom field in apps 9, add it to the mobile entity and publish it to mWo. Then I could add the field to its respective screen in mwo if I had access to the correct activity. I don't see how to do that in the new mWo Service 10.

Custom menu - User Method / State Machine

Custom menus have several features/methods.two of Them are user method and state machine. can anyone tell me what they are for and how they are used? I did check the IFS documentation but honestly it was not very detailed or useful for these two types of method.

Documents being lost on transfer from Mobile Work Order

We went live with IFS App9 Mobile Work Order for our Field Engineers in September using Apple I Phones as our mobile devices. Generally this is working well however we have a problem with document transfers from the mobile app. In about 5% of cases although a document revision is being created on the server the underlying document is not being transferred to the document repository. While we know some of these are due to signal issues and engineers not checking that their devices have synced properly. we are getting a number that are showing as status checked out. I am wondering if anyone has seen similar issues and can suggest possible solutions or settings to look at. ThanksDavid BolsterERP Implementation director Star Refrigeration

Access Providers and support for basic authentication in future IFS releases

Hi All, Is there any documents to read about the future of IFS integrations and the support for Access providers (.Net Java) and basic authentication?In the Idea wall discussion https://ideawall.ifsworld.com/ideas/5c5daba2b0114c0d53ca1e1a it was said that the Activities as well as Access Providers will be deprecated in future releases but not said when and how.It’s better to have more information on this since the integrations we design today should be future proof with upgrades.

Release schedule and content of Updates for IFS10?

We are currently in an upgrade project to IFS10 and considering which updates to install and when. Please let me know, where can I find the release schedule from IFS R&D? Regarding UPD7, is the planned content published somewhere? For previous updates I have found “What’s new” presentations by Bob Corrigan by Open IFS, but as a decision basis we would need information about the planned content of a coming update as well.

Is there a setting in IFS that when you create a material demand in mWo Service 10 that it doesn’t create a new Material Requisition, rather add new lines to a planned Maintenance Material Requisition?

Has anyone successfully returned the amount to collect to MWO from the Service and Maintenance module including tax from a source such as Vertex? When we do retail sales, our technicians need a way to determine the amount to collect from the customer before returning the work order.

Restricting the view of purchase requisitions and orders

Currently in system, the authority to view purchase orders(POs) and purchase requisitions(PRs) is controlled by site level access and any user who has the access to a particular site can view the POs & PRs in that site. Is there an option to restrict the view a user has of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, so they can only see the purchase requisitions and orders created by themselves and cannot view ones created by the others? Further, certain privileged users (e.g.-managers) should be able to view the requisitions and orders created by a set of users

Conditional Fields on Purchase Order Lines does not work when trying to make Part description read only based on 'Inventory Part' flag status. (APP9) 1. Go to purchase order window 2. RMB lines > Conditional Fields 3. Select 'Part Description' from the left selection pane 4. Click on 'Add property action' on right side 5. Change property to ' Ready only' 6. Add criterion where Type:1, column:'Inventory part', operator:'=', value:True 7. Click ok and reload window. 8. Add new PO line for an inventory part (where Inventory part is checked) and modify the part description

Limit on concurrent connections to soapgateway?

Is there a limit to concurrent connections that can be operated by the fndext/soapgateway in IFS MWS Apps9? We see occasional network errors thrown by application logic in PLSQL that uses the PLSQLAP to communicate and call an activity in IFS MWS. It fails with message UTL_HTTP_ERRORS: Network error code 2, while communicating with application server. So it is not an unreachable issue (UTL_HTTP_DOWN). Any idea where we can trace this error? a log file to look at perhaps?

Active and Inactive User List

Is there a way to produce a list of current IFS Users as well as disabled accounts showing when the accounts were created and disabled?This is a SOX evidence requirement for our auditors.FND_USER doesn't hold any such dates; it just lists whether account is active or inactive. We use Single Sign-on, so no Oracle database accounts will be associated.Any ideas or suggestions

The Art of IndexingIn an online transactional database, administrators tend to avoid adding indexes because of their impact to inserts and updates. This is true in a laboratory setting, but a real-world system has to deal with a collection of concurrent workloads. OLTP ERP systems tend to be very read-heavy, in the neighborhood of 94% in my experience. Reducing the aggregate read load can free system resources, and if that means getting the system out of a heavily-loaded state, intelligently adding indexes can indirectly (and paradoxically) improve real-world write performance. Your mileage may vary. I recommend iteratively measuring the effects of tuning your own system rather than following any given recipe. "Match Case"Oracle string comparisons are case-sensitive, unlike Microsoft SQL or MySQL. FSM and import from excel using import maps

I need to import data into the the tables PLACE, PLACE_ADDRESS and ADDRESS from a single table in an excel file containing 1429 rows. I have set up an Import map for the task, and defined the appropriate fields in the map, aligning the relevant columns from the excel file and the columns for PLACE and ADDRESS, this works pretty well. Final step in the same map is to connect the PLACE and ADDRESS rows to the PLACE_ADDRESS table, definingPLACE_ADDRESS.PLACE_ID → Parent table/column PLACE.PLACE_ID PLACE_ADDRESS.ADDRESS_ID→ Parent table/column ADDRESS.PLACE_IDI have tried many different setups, but without success. Database code generation failed when using ISD for IFS App10 patch merges.

When deploy database files using IFS Solution Developer when do patch merging for IFS App10, we mostly get “Database code generation failed” Error as below and files are not deployed correctly in internal environments. Forms and Table or View List

Somewhere in IFS 10, each window knows which table or view it’s based on. And, the navigator knows what to display in it’s list and which window to display when the user clicks an item. How do I get a list of all the windows named in the navigator, the tables or views they’re based on, and their Object relations?For instance, someone created a custom menu in window “frmPriceInquiryAnswer” and I need to verify it works (for migration to IFS 10). Searching the navigator for something like that gets me to “Price Query” and it doesn’t have a custom menu. Multiply this by a list of 300 custom menus, and you see my problem.In advance, thanks so very much!
