Hi We understand a view ending in _CFV is a custom field view used when we’ve customised a screen or table. However we see views with uiv_cfv. Does anyone know the difference and what these views are for? A quick look of the construct of the view doesnt show any obvious differences. Regards Shaun

BA Execution Server - Schedule and Run on demand

In BA System Parameters there are only three options for the BA_EXECUTION_SERVER_AVAILABLE: NO/FOR_ALL_INFO_SERVICES_REPORTS/ONLY_FOR_SCHEDULED_REPORTS However this doesn’t really suit our needs as we want to run some through BAES and others direct. For example Report A: Lets say Finance have a report they wish to run on demand (no schedule) and this should open up in their Excel using the BA Addin. Report B: Now we have a wide range of “Cost Centre” reports which breaks down all of the invoices to various managers and they should be able to run these reports on demand also (no schedule) - we don’t want to have to install the BA addin to everyone's machines so want the BAES to handle this functionality and store the report back in the report archive as a standard Excel file. Can anyone think of a way around this? I first thought about creating schedules for the “Cost Centre” reports and giving the users the ability “Run” the report from the schedule reports screen - which I have te

Cost Estimation Software Integration with IFS

COST ESTIMATION INTEGRATION I am busy with an implementation for a construction solution and I am looking to find out some more information around a cost estimation software integration with IFS as this is a requirement from the customer.Has this kind of integration been successfully developed in another implementation? How was it integrated? What was the type of cost estimation details that were integrated? Was this integrated with the Project WBS or Sub Contracts?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cash Account Validation error in payment order.

We have Created a payment method connected to payment format BGF and defined cash account 70438632. Then we have connected the payment method to supplier. While trying to pay for the supplier through supplier payment proposal > payment order below error is received: Cash Account Validation error when '70438632' is used as the account number in creating supplier payment. Kindly advise how to resolve this?

Time Clock and "Employee Card Parameters"

We have a customer in IFS Applications 9 and they use IFS Time Clock. Their existing cards start character is 2 and now they have some new cards as has the start character 3. In “Employee Card Parameters” they have 2 in the field “Card parameters: Start Characters”. How to set up the parameters, for them to use both their old cards as their new ones. Supplier has provided new bank information - old info pulling into payment

We are currently running Apps 9. We have received updated bank information from a supplier (which is paid via ACH). The original bank information was entered using Address ID 1. The updated information was entered using Address ID 2 and is marked default. When we generate the payment information, IFS is pulling in the old bank information (using Address ID 1) rather than the default bank information (Address ID 2). Has anyone else run into this?

Crystal Report files harvest location

Hello, do you know, what is right location of CrystalReport Layout file (*.rpt) in harvest? If is need to copy it to right folder structure on App Server and respect language mutation. I found some in <module>/client/runtime, but it’s weird location. I expected them in manualInstallation folder. Do Delivery builder automatically copy it from some location to manualDeploy folder? Custom Field on tbwRepresentativeCustomer

I am struggeling with creating custom fields on this page. When I enter the overview for custom fields I can see my custom fields but they are not visible to add on the tbw. I have reloaded the configuration and restarted EE but only Menu-items can be used on tbwRepresentativeCustomer and no custom fields. I have seen this behavior on other pages as well so is there any limitation on where we can see custom fields or is this a bug?

Delete WO Time Report

Can anyone tell me how to Delete a Time Report that has not been authorized on a Work Task in Apps 10 UPD 4 and up? Seems like the simplest thing and I’ve tried on Work Task Time Reports, and The Report In screen and I don’t see the option to delete.

WIP Reversal Condition Met but not reversing

I’ve set up a work task code rule for external customers with a WIP Code and reversal condition of CO Line Invoiced. When I transfer the Work Take Sales line to a CO and invoice, the cost is not reversing unless I do the Manually Release WIP and RMB and select Check and Update Accounting.

Specify a Browser When Opening a Link

We have a list of IFS document names in Sharepoint. Each document name has a link to IFS, which then opens the document. The link works when the user’s browser is Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. It fails when the user’s default browser is Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, etc. That’s because the link must first open IFS 10 (which it can’t do) before IFS can open it for viewing. Requiring all our users to set their default browser to either IE or Edge is NOT an option.How do I force a document link to open with a specific browser? For example, if the user has Chrome as the default browser, how do I force the link to open IFS 10 in Microsoft Edge?

Add a Lobby as a base profile?

I tried to set a newly created Lobby as a homepage for a base profile. I thought i got it to work, however when the end users log in, they get the following error message. I think it is because the Lobby is set to my personal data rather than generic for all. The steps i took to do this:Go to Options and chose the User Profile. Then clicked edit base profile and chose our Quality base profile. Then with that base profile active in my screen, i searched for the Quality Lobby and opened the page. Clicked on Options>General and clicked Use current to make that Lobby the home pageWhat am i doing wrong/missing?

In the online help for Correction invoice it shows that it’s possible to hide lines with negative value by clearing the check box Show credit lines for correction invoice in the invoice line properties View Credit Lines tab. But where is this tab? We can’t find this check box.

Close a PO with Milestones not all approved

Hi,How can we close a PO (RMB on PO header/line) on the follow example:PO with 1 line with milestones (staged payment). Milestones total amount 100€. Approved and invoiced amount 40€.Now without approving, neither reducing the PO line amount through a Change Order, how can we close the PO?Thanks

UPS Account Numbers

We have UPS WorldShip connected to our database and are retrieving many fields, which is great! …but we currently store our customers account numbers in document text, and I would like to start storing it by customer address number. Is anyone doing this, and where are you storing the account number? We are on Apps 9.
