How do I track what Lots went with each Shipments?

I will take an order for 96,000 lbs and will have multiple shipments against that 1 line. How do I know which lots went with each shipment? I have checked Lot Batch History and this shows all Lots for the Customer Order, not the individual shipments.

Engineering Revision Transfer

Is there an option to set an Engineering Revision not to transfer until the Revision status is Released? There is no other way to check whether Approval completed, all required documents is attached, etc. before the transfer.

Custom Menus on 'Own Process' Page

Using APPS9, we have created a copy of the Transport Task page and modified the new version with custom fields, we are struggling to apply the custom menus that are in the original version of transport task. Can this be done?

Disable table window sorting by clicking column header

Hi All, Is there a setting to disable the sorting functionality by clicking the column header? I never noticed this but today a customer questioned about it, and now I see it every time when opening a table window I already tried disabling FNDBAS Presobject Table Column Reorganization but it didn’t solve the problem.

MWO Not updating IFS WO Status

We have an issue where work orders on the mobile device are changed to Work Done but the work orders in IFS are not updating and are still showing a status of Started.Nothing is waiting to transfer from the mobile and no failed transactions.Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve seen talk of a user guide or troubleshooting document, but cannot see any attachment of such document in this community. We are using IFS Apps 8. Any help would be appreciated RegardsShaun

[FSM Mobile 5.6.3] Updating Travel/Work times on task status change

I am attempting to get the Mobile app to update the TASK.ACTUAL_TRAVEL_START_DTTM field with the current time when the task status is changed from Assigned to En-route via the mobile app. I can update the value via client scripting, however I cannot figure out how to trigger it ONLY when the task status changes from Assigned to En-route. I had thought about updating via a business rule however I would not catch the exact time of when the status is changed on mobile, only when it is synced. Thanks in advance for advice!

IFS 9 Work Orders with Manufactured Materials

When material needs to be manufactured on a shop order for a work order, how are others handling this? The only Supply Codes on the material of a work order are Invent Order and Project inventory. MRP will run and pick up the demand, but the manufactured assemblies often get mixed in with the production materials. We are currently creating our own shop orders for these, but they loose all connection to what you need the material for other than notes.

IFS 9 Patch 14 Work order Dates

We are attempting to analyze how we are using the dates and use them more efficiently in our system. We know that the Planned start date will populate the Material requisition due date, and in turn the Material needed date. Other than that and the Requested Finish populating the Wanted Delivery date we have not been able to figure out any other details about how to use them to plan for any part shipping and picking lead times. We have not yet ventured into the standard jobs and operations, but are simply trying to get the dates to help us. Before the latest patch the planned start date would give the Customer Wanted Delivery date a starting date to calculate the shipping lead time, but now that does not seem to be working either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to properly use the dates? We are not yet using mobile either.

IPAP Planning Data Report?

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to generate a report that is exportable to Excel of the information on the IPAP / Planning Info tab for all/many parts? In other words, a table view of all/many parts (query’able) that lists inventory part no, last year in/out, current year in/out etc etc. I need to be able to get the usage information (for all parts transacted) into Excel to be further analysed. Looking for some assistance regarding the BIM model functionality in IFS. Has there been an implementation done before where the BIM Model was used as a live business management model of the building? Has IFS done something like this with IoT setup? I am asking because I am busy with an implementation for a Design to Handover Construction process in project management and would like to know how possible it is to include the BIM structures in the design phase to create ease of handover to Maintenance?

Instant invoice - document footer

IFS9, in the process of upgrading to IFS10. We have used Report Designer to adjust the layout of instant invoices sent to our customers. The document footer for the instant invoice has been defined in the window Document Footer and connected to the report INSTANT_INVOICE_REP, which works just fine. Now, we need to have different invoice footers for different customers (sent from the same company). We have defined additional fields and additional Footers in the window Document Footer, which meet our requirements. However, we can’t find a way of selecting a different footer when creating the instant invoice.We have tried the following:In Document Footer, connect the report id INSTANT_INVOICE_REP to two different footers (two lines in the tab Connect Report). Not permitted. In Customer Invoice Types, define a new invoice type INSTINV_2 that the user can select upon creating a new invoice. Loading Customer Owned Inventory to new system

We are in the process of implementing IFS10 having previously used IFS2003. Our inventory is customer owned. We want to use data migration to load our WIP (inventory parts in stock) into IFS10 but have come across the restriction that customer owned inventory cannot be received via NREC. So we’re looking at using Purchase Orders but with many tens of thousands of individual serial numbers this seems a big overhead. Is there a recommended way of bulk receiving customer owned inventory?

Resource Criteria Tab in IFS Project

Has anyone used the Resource Criteria tab on the Project form? I am looking at it and it looks like we can set priority for certain values over and above just Resource ID. But what is not clear is what this actually does for us in the application. The help states that “Once the resource criteria has been decided and entered for the project the resource planning can be performed much easily.” I do not know what that means. Is there some sort of external project planning engine that I am not aware of that is going to use this data to plan resources and pass allocations back into the project? Does anyone have a good use case for this tab/functionality?

Color codes for calendar exceptions

In general it is possible to define different color codes for different person calendar exception types. My question is: is it possible to differentiate as well between calendar exceptions, which are marked as fixed (fixed_commitment) and which are not indicated "fixed"? As this would be a combination of two criteria (exception type + checkbox "fixed"), the second question is, if such a combination can be represented via color codes. e.g. 1.) Exception type "vacation" has color code blue 2.) Exception type "sick" has color code red 3.) Exception type "vacation" incl. checkbox "fixed" has color code yellow 4.) Work Task Steps not showed in Object Navigator

FSM Mobile Question; Where are Custom Fields defined?

Hi All, In the FSM Mobile Application there are baseline CUSTOM fields, as well as the ability to create CUSTOM fields for any screen. Some of the existing Custom fields are; CUSTOM.FULL_NAME DebriefOverview Screen CUSTOM.FORMATTED_TIME JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of task.plan_start_dttm and task.plan_end_dttm CUSTOM.FULL_ADDRESS JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of address, city, state, zip etc. There is the capability to add Custom Fields, which you then have the ability to configure limitedly. My question; It seems that all allowed configuration through designer is limited to the source and description, as present in the mm_field table. Nowhere in the mm_field table, or any other mm_field_** tables, can I figure out where the real source of these custom fields is defined. WADACO - Report Picking of Parts

I am trying to loop through serials for report picking of parts. My first Item is the Pick List No (Each Pick List in our case will only have 1 shipment), Shipment is auto fill and it asks for the serial. I enter the serial but I want the loop to keep asking me for serials till I exit the loop. Is this not possible?
