Hi, just sending this to check whether anyone have the same demand as I do. my client is using a tote (HU) when doing picking, tote is used as a gague to make sure all parts in each tote less than 60lb as they will convey this tote onto a conveyor line. I don’t see any current WADACO process available in APP10 update 8 for the senario i mentioned above. kindly advise. Thank you. Ron

STUCK thread while executing native sender: 'HTTP_SENDER1'

Hi, I’m trying to call an endpoint and pass some data in xml format to it. However, I’m getting the following error: STUCK thread while executing native sender: 'HTTP_SENDER1' Both my IFS application and the endpoint are inside the same network, so there isn’t any firewall blocking it. Both the endpoint and the error message are given in the screenshot (in red). Please advise on how I can solve this issue.

How to extract Employee information via API (Apps 10)

I’m trying to extract Employee information from IFS Apps 10 (Update 6) via SOAP API (specifically employee: identity, job title, department, and manager) which I then plan to ingest into one of our other systems. I’m unable to get the data out of IFS though - it just returns a response with exactly the data I passed to it. The IFS Interface Browser documentation suggest the EmployeeInteraction.sendEmployee action is a 2-way soap action. I’ve confirmed the account I’m using has access to the area and data. See below example of my SOAP UI project. What am I missing to obtain the specified employee’s details? SOAP UI projectRaw request data for the above pictured API call.If there’s a better way to do this in the REST API (unable to find much documentation on that) then that’d be even better but I’d also be happy just getting this working for now.

APB: "Earliest Due Date" - Meaning

Hi guys, At our site, APB is used to CBS schedule works orders prior to their release. The priority rule “Earliest Possible Due Date” is our standard execution (there’s no reason for us to use anything else). Can I get a definition of this rule, hopefully, to supplement what I know. I take it to do the following: For the orders (or operations) selected, schedule those to Start/Finish as soon as capacity permits (i.e. ASAP or Least Slack). Plus, if a trade-off is required (i.e. when two or more orders are competing for a resource) prioritize the job(s) with an earlier Need Date. That appears to be how dates are given against available capacity and the sequencing principle. Is this correct? Did I miss a crucial element? I’m especially curious to know how the field “Earliest Start Date” for a given order figures. Does this present a hard constraint on APB, such that regardless of if there’s usable capacity, an order cannot be scheduled any earlier that it’s Earliest Start Date?

Report Designer Instant Invoice layout error

Hi there, I wonder if anyone is able to help with this issue: This is for IFS 10 - Update 6 We’ve created a “from scratch” layout for the Instant Invoice. It renders fine using IFS Report Designer, so I’ve uploaded it to our TEST environment. When attempting to Preview from the Print Dialog, the following error comes up: GENREPORTIO:Could not generate report: ‘TRANS_CONF_ERROR:Failed transforming report data : “line 244: Required attribute ‘test’ is missing.” The original layout still prints out without issue, leading me to believe something needs to be added the the “from scratch” layout file to get it to work properly. Any suggestions?

Aurena Lobby Navigation

I have a counter lobby element that displays a count of expense_id values. I am trying to navigate to an aurena page - Expense Sheets - when I click on this counter value. I want the Expense Sheets page to display only the 3 Expense ID’s that are being counted. This is my SQL Data Source output - How can I setup the filter on the Web Access URL Address to allow only these 3 Expense IDs to show on the Expense Sheets List page?

Label translations

There is a requirement to change the label name in standard form. For an example ‘Price Effective Date’ label should be renamed as ‘Price Validity Date’. Can this be done via Terms? Thanks.

Aurena - Setup for External Access

We recently upgraded to Apps 10 with a local virtual infrastructure, as opposed to the cloud based option. We now would like to start taking advantage of using Aurena within our environment while not connected to our local network. We have been able to get Aurena to function while connected to our network locally or through VPN, however we are uncertain of what we need to do to get this opened up without the VPN connection. Do we need to have public facing IPs? What Ports need to be open? What is best practices for this setup? We have found minimal information in the IFS Help Resource and thought reaching out here might get us closer to where we need to be! Thanks in advance!!

Adding Ad-Hoc Document Text for Customer Invoices

Hello, RE: Apps 10 v4 The documentation states that “Documentation Text” can be added to customer invoices, however I do not see this as an option anywhere on the form (standard right mouse click on both the header and the line). It shows up on the customer order form as an option, but not the invoice. We are trying to add a note that will print on a specific invoice but not on anything else. Any ideas? Thanks Aaron

Change object from company owned to customer owned?

Is there a reason you cannot change an object you have created from company owned to customer owned? When creating a serial object in the serial objects view, you can select company or customer owned. When creating a serial object in the object view, you cannot and by default the object is created as company owned. Only when it is returned on the returns tab in the work order, can it be changed to customer owned. But this does not change the ownership of the object itself, which will forever stay company owned. Is there an incentive to change this? Does it matter?

Collective Invoice Document Text from Shipment Header

We have written a function that will create a list of orders as document text on the shipment header with a document text output type that allows printing on “Customer Debit Invoices” and “Customer Credit Invoices”. We thought that if we mirrored the setup of other document output types that print on invoices that simply adding document text to the header of the shipment with order details etc, would print. This is not the case. The collective invoice is only pulling in document text that has been specified on the customer order it seems. Is there something different that I’m missing as to why it won’t pull in document text from the shipment header into a collective invoice?

IFS9 - Long Login Duration for Clients / Computers

Hi, Some of our clients are having login problem. When they try to connect their own computer, they can’ t login or login duration takes too much time (appr. 15 - 20 min). However when they change computer they can login easily. Once we check DB from PL/SQL it seems they have already logged in, but application does not come up the screen or shown very late. Have you ever faced this type of problem ? Do you have any solution / suggestion for this problem ? Thanks in advance.

Phantom Consume in shop order

Can a inventory part(a manufacturing part with subparts) be selected as “Phantom Consume” in a product structure, not must be a phantom part? when this phantom consume part has no inventory, the subparts, instead of this part, are seen in “component” of the shop order. But why the operations to finish this phantom consume part is not included in the shop order routing? there is also an other concept “phantom part”. How they function differently in a shop order between a part with “phantom consume” selected and a phantom part? can anyone give a use case example for each?

Child Part/Structure Transfer after Parent Structure Transfer

Hello, I’m fairly new to IFS and still learning the ropes. My company is using IFS 9. I recently transferred a parent structure but failed to transfer some of the child structures/parts first. Is it possible to transfer these without creating a new revision on the top level? Thank you, Josh

Hi, Is there a way in IFS which can put customer order on hold after releasing the order ? Scenario: Customer wants us to hold the order and not to ship on wanted delivery date after releasing the order. We have NR as a shipment type so whenever we release the order it creates the shipment but Can we make any setting on customer order which will not allow shipment processing ?
