Too many transactions are made when Customer (Kamstrup) use material bounded operations

Case:Kamstrup make operation report for every 3 pcs.(PCB’s) with 500 components on a shop order with lot size 3.000 = 3.000/3*500 =500.000 backflush transactions on one PCB order.PCB production line: On daily basis 3 lines runs with a speed of 140 pcs per hour = 140*3/3*500 = 70.000 per hour, 24 hours per day = 1.680.000 backflush transactionsFirst day we had 1.7 mill.When we run full scale (PCB/EL, Water and Heat/Cooling) approx. 25 lines will be up running. Three tables that involves:INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST _TABMPCCOM_ACCOUNTING_TAB (here you will have the transactions times 4 due to nonstandard cost)INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_COST(here you will have the transactions times 2) Q1: First of all we need to find out if there are any other IFS customers running production with that many backflush transactions and if that’s a problem other than it takes out some space on the server and the processing of daily finance transactions will take hours. To increase FSM application performance can i increase the Maximum worker process in the application pool of IIS

To increase FSM application performance can i increase the Maximum worker process of the application pool value to 2 instead of default value 1 in the IIS settings. Because am facing the maximum cpu utilization issue in the server always by the FSM worker process.

Scheduling Maintenance Plan Lines through the MPB

I have a customer, who configured PM Actions with ‘Performed Date Based’ option, and wants to schedule the Maintenance Plan lines through Maintenance Planning Board.The Maintenance Plan Lines are scheduled through the MPB and generate the Work Order for the first line and execute. When the Work Order is completed, the succeeding Maintenance Plan Lines in the PM Action will be regenerated and the lines revert to ‘Needs Rescheduling‘ status. With this, the customer not able to use the MPB for the PM Actions. Any Idea how other customers are doing scheduling with these type of data setups.

Service Quotation for PM Work Order

Hi All,When I try to accept the Service Quotation which is created from a PM Work Order (Work Order generated from PM Action) getting an error as ‘It is not possible to modify object for a work order generated from a PM action.’ Any idea? Or is it Service Quotation can’t be used for PM Work Orders?ThanksBhaskara

List of Values missing in IFS Aurena Order Report

Hi, I am unable to see List of Values(LoV) for any of the reports I run from IFS Aurena/Order report. I tried one of the the Example BR reports and an Operational Report as shown in below screen shots. Does any one know what is causing this behavior and tell me how to make LoV visible in IFS Aurena? ABC Classes all parts set = C

Hello, we recently ran the task “Perform ABC, frequency and Lifecycle Classification” process in IFS using our cost = 1. After the process had completed, all our Inventory Parts ABC class is now = C. Our accounting group did recently copy a older cost set to cost set one. Could this be the cause? I guess it would be helpful as to understand why the system would ever assign class C to all parts. Thanks!

Inventory Part Availability Planning latency when searching

Hello All, I have notice what appears to be a latency issue when users are executing IPAP for any given part. When a user runs a search for any part, there is a 2-3 minute delay before the IPAP results are returned. There do no appear to be any long running calls in the system, and there are no scheduled tasks running. It appears to be impacting any part, and seems to be getting progressively worse. I’m not sure if there is a setting/configuration to check, or if something may be misconfigured. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

StartServers script issue

Transferring by product from product structure to DOP/Shop Order

We are using apps 10 and have created a product structure that contains a by product item. The product structure is on a business opportunity and transferred to the customer order as a manufactured order, which creates a DOP from the customer order. Once the shop order is created from the DOP, all components for the product structure appear except the by product item. Does anyone know what is required to have the by product also appear on the shop order?

Is there information available that describes the installation process of IFS Applications 10? I have installed APPS 8, but with the architectural change in APPS 10, I assume the installation process is not the same.I am specifically asking for the installation detail in a Linux environment with an Oracle database.

Custom Fields and Standard Fields in the same event

Hello, I have been asked to set up a Custom Event that should notify or stop the user (info message / error message) when they try to save a new object based on the values in one custom field, and another standard IFS field. Both exist in separate tables, as you would expect (e.g. NCR_TAB and NCR_CFT). I get this to work on existing objects, either through querying the field directly in the event action, or through the custom attributes in the event. However, in this case I want the event to be triggered when the new object is created, which means that the row does not yet exist in either table / view. Upon testing this this is what I’ve observed: If it is a new object (row), I get no value from the custom attribute If it is NOT a new object, and I have changed the CF$_SOME_FIELD value, I get the previous value If it is NOT a new object, and I have NOT changed the CF$_SOME_FIELD value, I get the correct one It makes sense to me that it works like this, but I am just wonderin

Can you please explain why each and every time I try to login to the community my current password is not recognized meaning that I have to send an email regarding a password change? Once I change the password the next time I login the system informs me that my credentials are invalid and I’m forced to repeat the password change process all over again.ThanksAlan

New User for Scheduled Jobs Only

I want to brainstorm here with you experts. AT present, we are using IFSAPP for a lot of things, all scheduled and background jobs run by IFSAPP and all of our development team uses IFSAPP for their development ,testing and helping any stuck auto process, purposes.Auditor thinks its a risk factor, especially in Accounting processes. We are planning on creating a finance user and schedule invoicing etc jobs under it. The Question is if i create a new user for this purpose, what should i keep in mind , any special treatment like any basic data etc requirement… How are your business handling situations like this. For Example, are developers using their personal ID’s for development/implementation purposes.. Do you have any Super user accounts.What are best practices….Reference to any document etc. Thanks

Non Inventory Transactions Not Posting to GL

Hi,We have few ‘ARR-NONINV’ transaction type i.e., non-inventory purchase transactions from the last few months that are being held at Accounting Status Code 2 (Created) and not moving forward to Code 3 (Transferred). Hence these transactions at Status 2 are not hitting GL. Our Finance team confirm they haven’t modified any Posting Controls recently. Can anyone share your thoughts or idea on what is going wrong? Any solution provided is helpful! Thank You

We are working with distributors which are certified to assemble and to sell our products under our own brand.Sometimes, customers are asking us for sales quotations/customer orders on products for small quantities. Based on the product family and the quantities, we would like to reoriente the customer to one of our distributors.Is there something in the sales module which enables to return automatically a sales quotation or customer order with an negative answer to the customer with a proposal of our distributors based on family product and quantities?
