Hi everybody!I have some documents to send to users and want to send them from IFS(via email). The problem is I want to schedule when I can send. For example: every month,every hour exc.. I looked over Document Distirubtion but the trigger is only when document release.I dont want to use backround jobs or event action because these are not depent on an event. I want to use as a reminder. Is there another way? I use IFS 9 Thank you

Hello Community, does anyone know how to grant access to the page designer in Aurena? We cant find any projection name for this when using the debug console or log window. Is it something that only the IFSAPP user can do or are we missing something?

Connect Tool/Equipment to Serial Object

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to connect a tool/equipment resource to a serial object in IFS Apps 10 but so far I have not succeeded. Does anyone know the exact steps to follow to do so ? I have noticed the empty field “ID object” on the Tool/equipment page but I can access the LOV or enter any data. Thank you everyone.

Hi!If you have two base profiles, and you want to export from one profile and import to the other, but ONLY column order and layout forms (fields shown in one of the profiles). How To Print Multiple Invoices Into Single PDF File

Hello Everyone, We currently generate one invoice per customer order and email the customer a PDF of the invoice during the invoicing process. Some of our customers have requested we send them just one PDF containing multiple individual invoices. The customers want a separate invoice number for each order which we believe rules out using collective invoices. Finance would like to have IFS basically print each invoice into a PDF and merge each new printed invoice into the same PDF so when a customer opens the PDF they’ll see multiple invoices within the same file. How to print multiple invoices into single pdf file

Hello, I couldn’t figure out how to move my original posting to the Technology forum so I’ve created a new posting. Below is the original posting just for reference.https://community.ifs.com/finance-financials-42/how-to-print-multiple-invoices-into-single-pdf-file-3476?postid=11875#post11875 We have a set of customers which we generate many invoices each day and they’ve asked us to consolidate them into a single PDF instead of the multiple PDF’s that CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP produces. We use the built in report to print our invoices CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP with some modifications to pull in extra information and layout changes. The CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP will generate one invoice report per invoice and usually we just print to a PDF instead of a paper. These customers receive their invoices by EDI so the PDF invoice is really just a backup for them in case something goes wrong with the EDI transmission. We initially thought of using collective invoice but the customers do not want a

Using Report Rules to Multiplex Reports?

Has anyone ever use report rules to send output to multiple printers from one print job?(Is this even possible?)I’ve got a set of report rules to save Invoices as a PDF using IFS Connect but I also want to send a hard copy to specific printers depending upon certain data fields on the invoice.There is a logical printer, ARCHIVER, that the user selects and then I have two rules, executed in the following order:If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER and certain Site code - Print To Logical Printer HARD_COPY If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER then Route to ConnectI can see both rules firing in the Print Rule Log,Rule #1 sees an entry in the print agent log file but nothing is outputRule #2 sees a file created via IFS Connect. Any ideas?

In other words, if we go with IFS, do we still need to use local solutions to cover all the accounting & taxation requirements OR we can rely on IFS financial module and get rid of all the local financial software? VAT Reverse charge on certain products

A new VAT regulation will be implemented in Sweden in the beginning of 2021. The VAT regulation imply that VAT reverse charge will be applied when sale of certain parts/products decrease a value of 100 KSEK. If the value of the same part/product is below 100 KSEK the ordinary VAT rules will be applied. The VAT regulation will impact both sales and purchases.Does anyone have a setup in IFS to handle multiple VAT-codes in the same supplier invoice and is applying automatching against purchase order (Note: not on part line)? Does anyone have a setup for customer invoicing where the VAT-code used is dependent on the value of the invoiced parts/products? Also, if multiple VAT-codes can be used in the same customer invoice applying the above rule?Thanks.

Service and Maintenance timeclock and WO clocking

Hello, I’ve noticed an issue that I believe is the result of a misconfiguration on our tenant. Currently, our maintenance group is able to log into Work Orders for repairs. They can clock out and close the WO as well, all while being off the “payroll” timeclock. I assumed the behavior for S&M was the same as the shop floor clocking. In the event an associate tries to clockin to a Shop Order, the system would prompt them and state that they are not clocked into timeclock. They are then automatically clocked in. Likewise, they cannot clock out of timeclock if they are still clocked into a Shop Order. This behavior doesn’t appear to be available for the service and maintenance group. Is this correct, or can the same functionality be extended to that group? My concern is that there will be a lot of errant clocking if S&M users are able to independently log time to WOs and clock on and off timeclock without any cross checking. Thank you!

How would you suggest going about setting up a service contract line to have a minimum service charge? For example, for a particular work type, the customer will be billed a minimum 4 hr labor charge and anything over that would be at a set hourly rate.

Order of columns in custom page

Dear all, when I am adding attributes = custom fields in tab attributes within a custom logical unit, the attributes are sorted alphabetically. When I add a custom page in tab custom pages and look into the page, the columns seem to be ordered chaotically. So how can I define the order of the columns in my custom page? Upgrade from IFSv9 to v10

I recall when moving to IFS Apps v9, we were sold on the fact that future version upgrades would be much easier! We moved from IFSv7.5 to IFSv9 in early 2018. Although it went without a hitch, it was no small project from an IT or Business point of view. We now see that IFsv9 is nearing the end of its standard 5 year support phase, moving into extended support in Mar 2020 (We were obviously a bit late to the v9 party!). Is there anyone out there who have upgraded from v9 to v10. Was this a straight forward upgrade? Did you stay with your original Oracle version? What was the impact on users? Vague request for information I know, so happy to receive vague discussion/answers. FYI: We are a manufacturing business, multiple sites worldwide, around 400 users, Hosted on-prem, Oracle 12c. Date format in Event Actions

Hello,Working with events, I’m trying to get the value of a date type attribute and the result is a number, instead of a date.I’ve tried for different date type attributes and with different logical units and tables, and the result is always the same.For example:Logical Unit: ExpenseHeaderTable: Expense_Header_tabAttribute: CONFIRM_DATEWhen the event is executed, I get “1994” as a result, but it should be “16/10/2020”. Automatic Customer Offset

Hi, I can’t seem to get the Customer Offset Proposal functionality to work as I was hoping. It will happily match one-to-one (eg Customer Payment on Account for £200 to one invoice for £200), but not one-to-many (Customer Payment on Account for £350, one invoice for £200 and a second invoice for £150). Is there a specific setting I need to choose when creating the Offset Proposal, or is there a setting on the Customer that I am missing…..or something else? Or does the functionality just not work as I had imagined/hoped? Thanks,Chris
