"Reauthentication failed. The Application will shutdown" error.

We are new on Apps10 update 7 as of Nov. 30th. I have received complaints from the shop floor production areas and QA that people are receiving this error in various screens and they are immediately kicked out. We have noticed this in creating an MRB case from a shop order and then others have said simply using the shop floor workbench. I noticed another post stating it might be tied to the IFS Time Clock, which we do use also. Our DBA thought it was related to our security checkpoint setups but none of the screens where this occurred have security checkpoint enabled. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be related to our idle timeout value? I’m wondering what it’s trying to re-authenticate.

Application Defined Events

Hi Is there a way of adding additional information to Application Defined Events? For instance, could we call an API to retrieve data to be included in the body of the email that is sent. An example scenario, is the Approval Routing events which send emails when approval routing step is approved. The application defined event uses basic information but the business wants the Document title to be displayed instead of Doc No and the Document class description instead of Doc No. We are using Apps 8. Please provide guidance and suggestions how to implement this. Regards Shaun

Reverse Tax on supplier invoice

We will be able to report reverse tax on our supplier invoices. We have created a separate Tax Code for that. Since we need to report both Tax Disbursed and Tax Received I suppose this will be calculated tax.There will not be any tax on the invoice (net amount) but we need to add that on two tax-accounts (disbursed and received) when we post the invoice. Off-course we want this to be an automatic posting on the voucher. Which Posting Control will we need to configure? For example: Supplier InvoicePrice: 1000Reverse Tax is demanded We would like the voucher to look like this:Account 4010: 1000Account: 2617: -250Account: 2647: 250

Cancelled Invoices stuck in Preliminary status

We have few customer invoices that were cancelled in the system and when we are trying to close the month-end, it is giving us an ‘warning’ about the ‘Customer Invoices in Preliminary status’ in the ‘Accounting Periods’ screen >’ Validation Transactions in Progress’ window. Though we can by-pass the warning message and able to close the month-end, these warnings related to the Cancelled Invoices that were stuck in Preliminary status are showing up end of every month.Is there any solution to clear these warnings/transactions so that we aren’t investigating every month?

Difference between BIZAPI RECEIVE_SUPPLIER_INVOICE AND RECEIVE_E_INVOICE

Hello, i had a talk today with IFS stuff and got the information, that for creating “external supplier invoices - with load information” one should RECEIVE_SUPPLIER_INVOICE, as it is a financial module and RECEIVE_SUPPLIER_INVOICE was called a part of logistics. Can anyone confirm or deny if the RECEIVE_SUPPLIER_INVOICE is capable of creating “external supplier invoices - with load information” like E-Invoice does ? ThanksMichael

Is there documentation to setup developer studio?

Is there a better documentation of how to setup Developer Studio than the Techdochs at docs.ifs.com ?Here are some detailed questions:Developer Studio What should be inside Build Home ? Does Build Home have to reside inside the folder where the instance is running or can it be a separate folder ? Are there any specific files i can check for knowing where Build Home is ? Application Form Designer Do i need a specific version for the APF to get running ? I’m reading Vis Studio 2010 for IFS 8, is this correct ? Does it need the Professional version or is a 2010 C# Express sufficient ? Supplier Factoring Payment

Hello,I have this question:What is the simplest or the standard functionality in IFS to manage Supplier Payments to a Factor (another supplier) – so when we are posting a MSI from Supplier A, what is the best way to record information that the invoice should be paid to a different entity (payee) – so when we reach supplier payment proposal or is already with the payee changed (from what was record on the MSI posting) or at lest how we are informed.Main point: how IFS deals with factoring.Thanks for the help.

Notification Business Rule on Deleted Record

Looking to create a business rule when a request is deleted. Deleting the request also deletes the associated request event data so once it is gone i cannot retrieve it.i attempted to make a rule that activates both before and after delete but none have been successful

Updating efficiency factor on group of routings

Does anyone know how to update a group of efficiency factors on my routings at once? Basically I have over 150k routings and I want to make a change on the efficiency factor for 2021 but I only see how to change it on the individual routing screen.Thank you!

Supplier rental agreement

Hello,I wish to create a supplier agreement with prices for rental instead of purchase but when I try to do so and create a new purchase requisition, it doesn’t refer to the agreement.More so there is no “Contract number” field on the rental lines whereas there is one on purchase lines (in the purchase order).How do you do it ?Thank you !

Task Schedule parameter "Check Executing"

Upon scheduling a database task I found the parameter “Check Executing” just above the Start Date, marked with yellow in the picture below. Usually when activating a scheduled task I check the check box “Active” and then consider when to start the schedule (start date). But I found that the parameter “Check Executing” is checked for some scheduled tasks and unchecked for some. In the documentation I can’t find any information about the mentioned check box. Can someone please explain what the parameter does and recommend whether to have it checked or unchecked?
