Dear All, We are currently working on an IFS upgrade project to transition one of our IFS customers from IFS 9 UPD 14 to IFS Cloud. We have completed our first upgrade iteration and have upgraded the customer to IFS Cloud 23 R1. The customer belongs to the telecom sector, and work orders from IFS applications are the main area they are utilizing. During this initial iteration, it took 78 hours and 20 minutes to execute the main upgrade script. Out of this total time, 72 hours and 52 minutes were spent on post-installation data file deployment. Within this time frame, the work order module related files took up 69 minutes and 37 minutes. Below are the files that took the most time:POST_Wo_UpgradeToTaskFramework.sql: 16 hours and 48 minutes POST_WO_UpdateHistAllocations.sql: 2 hours and 48 minutes POST_Wo_UpdateJtTaskPlanning.sql: 46 hours and 26 m
Dear All As you can see IFS supported on now OAUTH2 based authentication when sending emails from IFS https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/030_administration/030_integration/300_ifs_connect/010_configure_connect/060_transport_connectors/configure_mail_transport_connector/#usage_of_default_mail_sender_and_override_mail_sender_parameters Does any one know feature difference with 'Authorization Code' and 'Client Credentials' options, the difference between security point of view and feature point of view. 2. I think in either option you have to do is register new App in Azure App registration and make sure you granted correct APi permission , does any one know what exactly need to be granted , such as Mail.Send or office 365 exchange online etc..it would be grate to know experience from sone one already used this feature and get it working.krAmila
Dear All,We are currently working on upgrading two IFS Managed Cloud customers, one running on IFS 9 and the second one on IFS 10, to the IFS Cloud version. As you are aware, the upgrade needs to be performed on an interim environment. Once the upgrade is completed, we have to return the database to IFS Managed Cloud so they can import it into the new production environment (IFS Cloud) in IFS Managed Cloud. What we have experienced is that exporting from the source database (either through RMAN level 0 backup or Oracle Data Pump export) takes nearly a day or more, making it difficult to plan the go-live cutover. Therefore, with this post, I would like to inquire if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and if there are any tips and tricks to reduce the export time from the source database (hosted at IFS Managed Cloud). Any information on this topic would be highly appreciated. Kind RegardsAmila
HI Team This is related to above post, with help @matt.watters I was able to solve first part of the issue,. But I can noticed even though my default browser is Google chrome, upon saving a document via add-in IFS always trying to start via Microsoft Edge, which promit the security message “Open this file?”I was really couldn’t find in forums how to disable this ( if someone knows it and can let know highly appreciated) , but my question is, do you know why IFS always use Edge browser instead using Default browser in your work station? @Mathias DahlIs Docman add on have hard coded feature to use Edge browser? kind regardsAmila
Hello Everyone Please see below test case Successful installation of Document Management Office Add-In 64 bit version 2.. Suppose you already logged into IFS EE client from your desired user 3. Then you go to, for example outlook, select an email with attachment and select the option to save the mail with attachment Even though you already logged into IFS EE, it launch the Application again and prompt the login dialog box , a) Is this the default behavior of the feature? or can we change it to use the already open IFS EE and prompt the docman dialog to attached the document b) even though google chrome is my default browser , it launch the application ( when you use office add in) via Microsoft edge , is this also as expected. Thanks in advance KrAmila
