We are on IFS Apps 10. When we run a simple query for one part number on the Inventory Part Availability Planning screen the system takes approximately 30 minutes to return data. Often the query will seem to time out and return Request Aborted. We do not fund any similar issues on any other areas of the system. Queries and reports are running efficiently. Has anyone came across this issue or have any suggestions as to what might be causing it
Is there a way to compare application installed release with database installed release?IFS Apps 10 Test environment: We want to prove the following is correctIFS Applications MWS Home - Release 10Production environment:IFS Applications MWS Home - Release 20 Oracle database files - Release 20We have a copy of IFS Application installation files taken to a specific release. We have used these files to install a new MWS Home, this is our Test environment. Our Production environment is at release 20, both application and database file. We will clone the Production Oracle database to Test Oracle database. The result is that application installed files on Test environment are at release 10, but database installed files will then be at release 20.We can run the following query and this confirms which releases have been applied to the database. Is there a reliable way to confirm which releases have been deployed to the application files on the MWS Home?SELECT nameFROM ifsapp.moduleWHERE des
We find that database sessions remain in inactive status for a period of time. Our users logon to IFS applications and we can see the new session. When the user, via the File->Exit menu option, logs off the application, the session remains. The attached example illustrates this. This Test User logged off over 5 hours ago but there are frequent calls to the database. Should these sessions be killed off automatically with the middleware server session and if so whats the best way to configure this?Using the RMB option Kill Session from Solution Manager->Monitoring->Database Sessions successfully terminates the session. It seems like the system hangs onto permissions. For example if we grant a permissions set to a user and they log on (with no inactive sessions existing) then the permissions are applied. if the user then logs off and we apply different permissions (at this point there will be an existing inactive session), then these new permissions are not applied. The new logon
We changed the connection string on the MWS (using middleware server admin console) as we are hosting the database on another server. Verified the connection and can run ifs.fnd_explorer.exe on the MWS to connect to the database with no issues. We copy the runtime folder (E:\IFS\repository\client\runtime) to a terminal server where users will run the application. The application fails to launch and returns the error ‘No authenticate header from the server’. So the application will run on MWS but not on the terminal server. This worked well until we changed the connection string. I have restarted both the database and MWS as well as running a reconfigure.
