Hi Community we are using IFS APP 10 and using the process ‘shop order infinite scheduling’ to schedule our production plans. we are trying to establish a best practice for reviewing and actioning action proposals generated when we run MRP weekly. Currently only a few of the action proposals and actioned and the rest generally ignored.does anyone know of documentation that can identify a best practice or standard approach to take when reviewing action proposals?I'm guessing not all action proposals are equal? so I am trying to identify the hierarchy of importance so our planning department can filter those action proposals on the MRP action proposal workbench. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.kind regardsJamie
Hi. I am using IFS APPs 10 and would like to know what is the best method to adopt to forecast potenial demand against current capacity, for example we already have an active product structure for a sales part but wanted to see what the demand load would look against our current capacity if we were to receive an order for X amount.should we manually create the top-level part demand, run MRP and view the demand via Resource Analysis and then cancle the demand?any suggestions would be helpful regardsJamie
HiCan anyone tell me why i am getting the message below when i run a Kanban Reorder Point Request? The Reorder point is set at 10 L and the quantity of stock available within the Kanban location is 9 L, i would expect it to generate a transportation task for 10 L to be supplied to the Kanban location.i can only get it to replenish the supply to location if the available stock quantity falls below 1 L and then it generates a transportation task to move 20 L from location A into the supply location. (see below)Can anyone tell me what i am missing? regardsJamie
Morning we are using IFS APPs 10 and currently reviewing how we plan and schedule our manufacturing shop orders. Currently we run MRP followed by CRP once a week which will generate all purchase and manufacturing requisitions with a mix of dates past due and present. When we convert a requisition we release the shop order straight away (with some dates in arrears) but only when the manufacturing department request replenishment ,to me this seems an incorrect method to adopt.I have prosed that once we run MRP and CRP, review the action messages and are finally happy with the plan and schedule, that we then convert all requisitions to planned for the current month and then release shop order to the manufacturing departments 1 or 2 days before the shop order is planned to start. This way MRP wont reschedule the requisitions each time it runs and will be able to measure the schedule adherence of all manufacturing departments and the accuracy of the planning. The question i have isWill it neg
Hi. we are using APPs 10 and have just started using the electronic Kanban replenishment function to replenish our line side stores.however we have came across an small issue of a Kanban replenishment request generating a transportation task for two different batch's of the same material to supply the Kanban demand of 300 ml of Loctite 770. (below)The problem is the inventory is a liquid raw material in a 300 ml container which we are not able to decant.in this example we have set the Kanban circuit Qty to 300ml (same quantity as 1 can of Loctite) thinking it would only fulfil the demand if there is enough stock of the same batch available. is there away setting that creates a rule only inventory with equal or great than on hand stock is used to replenish the Kanban replenishment request?regardsJamie
Hi, using APPS 10 and experiencing a slight issue with the ‘Reserve/ Issue from Loc’ specified on the product structure not being pulled through to the shop order (see below).the structure revision on the product structure and shop order are the same and on the inventory part ‘Reserve/ issue from:’ is set to Only Specified Location to ensure it only reserves and issues the material from the correct location (below). When checking the Reserve and Backflush Visualization on the material line within the shop order is shows there is no locations acting as priority to reserve from.does anyone know what else could be casing this?regardsJamie
