i have created the user permissions but i am unable to query Accounting tables while logged in to database
bascially, i need a database read only user to access all the data for reporting purposes,i have tried granting selection to all objects but it's not working.
in this case, any table/view that has a transaction is not showing any data
I think that might be it, I have done it from front end and it seems to be working fine now I have another user that is only DB user, how can I give the same right from the database side? thanks a lot
i have a DB user who is having same issues,this user is read-only access to all databasebut whenever i am accessing any transaction tables/views, there is no data coming up.so i believe this user needs to be granted access to companies and site as you have suggested for the user that is created on IFS front end.now i am looking for a query that can give access to companies and site to the user that i have created in DB.

So you want execute a sql query to assign a company and site? Then you need to create a query to insert new rows in the tables. Here the views: Select * from ifsapp.USER_FINANCE Select * from ifsapp.USER_ALLOWED_SITE thanks a lot

OK, I see. But why do you need a query? You can grant the permissions directly in IFS: the user i have created with this procedure has limited access to views/tables while logging into DB from DB tool
Hi @yasirB what kind of details do you need and what do you mean by GL and TB? I am trying to access the table through SQL developer using the Read-only user that I have created following aboveIFS GL Voucher rows screen shows a View that i am trying to query from database but it is coming empty

Hi @yasirB of course. In IEE you can do the follwing step. Go to Quick Reports and click with RMB on Show Details: The details screen will show you the sql code. thanks . what about order reports ? for exmple customer_legder_age_analysis sql query ?
You can start the debug console and execute the report. Then you can check the code in the debug console. I don’t know if you will find the right information. what is the key for starting the debug console ?

Are these manual invoices or are do they come from a customer order, purchase order, or work order that was invoiced? It can make a difference. Also understand that a voucher maybe involved as well. Do you need tables or views? Views can be found by turning on the debugger and issuing a query. bascially i am looking for where is data going before reaching to GL of any type of invoice.is there any sub ledger with payment details of any type of invoices with historical stages of payment
is there any detail document by IFS on it ?i understand i am digging deep without having clear ideas on it
Hi @yasirB thanks .. i didt help alot but i am looking to dig more deeper , such as i am trying to figure out how GL data is being stored for example from customer orders and payments againist these orders Please open System Info where You have LU name. Then go to the Solution Manager\System Information and Utilities\Logical Units\Logical Unit and there You have base table name for that specific LU:
