Hello,

We are using IFS apps 8 SP2.

While login into application with IFSAPP getting below error. LDAP is configured and all end users are working fine and using LDAP authentication but getting below error intermittently for IFSAPP user (which bypass the LDAP authentication and using database authentication) .

Ifs.Fnd.FndSystemException: Unexpected error while calling server method ClientApplication/IdentifyCurrentUser

What could be the reason for this issue.

Hi @anonymous ,

This may be a user mapping problem in AD side.

Please double check AD settings and verify configuration compare with  technical documentation

Also can you try to run a reconfiguration and double the ‘Set Request Limit’ parameters and verify again

Manoj.

Hello Manoj,

Thanks for your reply and suggestion. Below are the information regarding our IFS environment.

  1. IFS Application version- Apps8SP2 (So did not find ‘Set Request Limit’ parameter in apps8 weblogic)
  2. LDAP configured (All end users mapped with AD are working fine and able to login in the application without any issue)
  3. Facing ‘Operation time out’ issue with IFSAPP user only because it is automatically bypass the LDAP authentication and use database authentication.
  4. Getting same error if we try to open the application from ifshome with ‘Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.exe’.

we are getting this ‘operation time out’ error intermittently for IFSAPP user only. What could be the reason for the issue.

Regards.
