Scan Customer Order - Set up

I want to set up the optical character recognition (OCR) function. This is based in the assistant function ‘Scan Customer Order’. When I try to use it i get the error message: ‘The Machine Learning Service is not accessible. Please ensure that the Machine Learning Service is enabled.’

Now I looked through different sources in the IFS-documentation how to enable the Machine Learning Service. So my result is:

This raises some questions for me:

  • Why do I need a custom model for a basic task like OCR? Is there no standard model that IFS can provide?
  • What do I need to do to set up the PSO and connect to the IFS Cloud? Is there a step by step guide to do this?

FYI: We are using the 22R2 Version of IFS

The same issues seem to be present in 23R1. Why not just include the necessary bits out of the box so that it works?

According to 

 it should work in 2023 without PSO, but has this been delayed? Or is it part of the upcoming 23R2?
