Dear community,

we want to import CSV files with customer orders to IFS App10.

Is that possible?

Does anyone have experience or documents?

Hi Dogan

It depends a bit on the amount of Customer Orders and their level of complexity (charge lines, etc), but typically the IFS data migration tool is used for those kinds of tasks: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/010_overview/260_data_management/010_fndmig/default.htm

Hi Roel,

there isn’t other ways to import customer orders to IFS App10?

I know the procedure via EDI.

Thank you.

Hi Dogan,

It is like Rome, there are many ways that lead there :). There is an excel add-in, there is the migration job tool, there is the .NET Access provider and 3rd party tools, there are PL/SQL scripts and yes, there is also the ‘incoming customer order’ functionality in the application. That last one however is designed to ongoingly create customer orders on a day-to-day basis. The Migration Job and Excel add-in migration tools typically provide better support to do a one-off import.

More info on the Excel add-in here:
