Is it possible to create a Scheduled Count Report that only includes a set number of parts from the Warehouse?

e.g. there are 1000 parts in a Warehouse, a count report is scheduled for each day listing 50 arbitrary parts to be checked?

Day 1. 50 parts

Day 2. 50 parts (excluding parts counted on Day 1.)

Day 3. 50 parts (excluding parts counted on Day 1. & Day 2.)

and so on.

Stock Counts would be done each day, 6 days per week.

 Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi @Fgray09

Not sure which version you’re on, but below is one way this could be achieved using your example.

You’d simply define:

  • Number of records to be printed (this will act as the maximum amount or i.e. 50 parts)
  • Exclude Part Counted Since Days (this will count backwards from the current system date.  As far as I recall this is based on calendar days, not business days, so in your example it would take 26 days to count 1,000 parts.

You could play around with this say for example if you were just going to focus on cyclic counting parts, but perhaps this gives you an idea.

Thank-you very much for your reply, as you say I will play around with the parameters.

I am working in Apps 10.

Glad it was helpful.  The Apps 10 layout is a little different as you have to click on Advanced first:
