We have a list of IFS document names in Sharepoint. Each document name has a link to IFS, which then opens the document. The link works when the user’s browser is Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. It fails when the user’s default browser is Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, etc. That’s because the link must first open IFS 10 (which it can’t do) before IFS can open it for viewing. Requiring all our users to set their default browser to either IE or Edge is NOT an option. How do I force a document link to open with a specific browser? For example, if the user has Chrome as the default browser, how do I force the link to open IFS 10 in Microsoft Edge?
Somewhere in IFS 10, each window knows which table or view it’s based on. And, the navigator knows what to display in it’s list and which window to display when the user clicks an item. How do I get a list of all the windows named in the navigator, the tables or views they’re based on, and their Object relations? For instance, someone created a custom menu in window “frmPriceInquiryAnswer” and I need to verify it works (for migration to IFS 10). Searching the navigator for something like that gets me to “Price Query” and it doesn’t have a custom menu. Multiply this by a list of 300 custom menus, and you see my problem. In advance, thanks so very much!
We're upgrading to IFS 10 from IFS 8. I need to verify all the saved searches came through intact. If I navigate "My Administration" -> "Saved Searches", I can see the list. How do I export it so that I can compare the IFS 8 list to the IFS 10 list? Alternatively, what table or view can I use to see this information in SQL?
A user has access to Manufacturing > Shop Order > Order > Shop Order, tabs "Material" and "Operation". He also has access to the Manufacturing > Shop Order > Operation Analysis > Shop Order Work Guidelines screen. If he does a RMB on a line item in the first screen’s “Material” tab, there is an item “Work Guidelines ...” to make it easy to navigate between the two screens. For him, it’s grayed (ghosted) out, so he can’t select it. The same is true for the “Operation” tab: the RMB item is there, but grayed out. This is NOT a custom RMB, so there isn’t a presentation object to grant permission to. Is it possible to grant permission to use an IFS native RMB menu item? If so, how? Please note that he can see and use both the source and destination screens, so the problem is with the button itself.
