Hi, Please give me some advice on how to debug effectively the PL/SQL side of an incoming OData REST webservice request when the input is a complex structure. As long as there are some simple parameters to the request, it is fine, I can specify them in the test window of PL/SQL Developer.However, it can be quite painful to build a complex structure (like several customer orders and their lines and their child rows) in PL/SQL before calling the request. Ways I tried:Remote debug with Oracle SQL Developer → could not get through the error: ‘insufficient privileges’ for DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP package (I granted everything and added ACLs) Tried to find within IFS how the conversion of JSON to Oracle types are done - that way I could copy the JSON part of the request to the test window of PL/SQL Developer, where I would convert it to the proper Oracle record type that is defined in My…._SVC package and pass it to the the appropriate method in My..._SVC packageAny recommendation is welcome.Thanks J
Recently workflows sometimes get stuck in ‘IP’ (In Progress) state, and never reach state ‘DONE’, it seems: They are mostly started from background jobs.Some of them are (not on the image above) more than one month old, still stuck.The same workflow (finUpdateCurrencyRatesForCurrencyTask) always gets executed properly when started online.What can be done in a situation like this? version: 23.1.6

Up to App10, ‘PL/SQL Methods Webservices’ was an easy way to expose PL/SQL Methods for inbound synchronous messaging in form of SOAP webservices:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/050_development/024_integration/020_webservices/020_plsql_methods_webservices/default.htmNo BizAPI, minimal modeling, and it worked and there was a proper WSDL available for them. Hi all,It is documented here where to copy the certificate file to to be automatically deployed into keystore (for instance, during AutoBuilder): https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/020_installation/400_installation_options/003_security/020_configure_outbound_ssl/default.htm That is fine.My question is:Is there a way that the certificate file is put into Harvest, and then during AutoBuilder or delivery package creation it automatically gets copied to that import folder?It would make its deployment easier at customer sites. Hi, We have special characters in a file (attached in .zip).Dev. Studio cannot deploy it, saying: First error location is highlighted.On the other hand PL/SQL Developer has no problem with it when deploying.Also standard deployment/delivery procedure gives us no error for this.The file is already in UTF-8, according to for instance, Notepad++.Dev Studio version is in the picture.What should we do to be able to deploy it from Dev., Studio?
We are trying to use the IFS supplied currency rate downloader BPA workflow as it is described here: Finally we could get it to work which is nice.The normal way it works is in the background initiated by background jobs.However we cannot find a way to get notified of the errors that occur in the workflow (for instance webservice to download from the currency rates is not accessible).Background job reaches state ‘Executed’ and does not reflect any error.How can the user/admin get notified of errors in this kind of asynchronous workflows?It is Cloud 23.2.0.

I found that even if the calling party is given restricted user authentication, they can bypass IFS built-in security mechanism by “impersonating” IFSAPP user: The caller is given restricted authentication (jasahu/<pwd>) and that user has no permissions for the underlying DB objects.But the caller adds the purple line, with IFSAPP as directory id, the security is bypassed and they call what they in theory do not have permission for.Is there a solution to this, so that they cannot call which they are not granted?

Hi All, We have a scenario where our customer wants to send emails to its customers (payers of invoices) with a link (URL).If they click on the URL the PDF of the invoice gets downloaded and displayed.And they (our customer) want to be notified (save the information in IFS somewhere) that the link was clicked on.Recipients of those emails know nothing of IFS, so it is just a link to internet for them.I guess it is more or less possible to do with REST APIs and custom development.What about authentication?How is it done usually?What would make the client op. system display the PDF that was just downloaded?Is it possible?
The customer has lots of data in some tables - mostly quality assurance related, traceability - and keeps only last 3 months of data in the main tables.They have already setup archiving which works okay, except it started to get too slow mainly because it takes the rows in the head table one by one.As it does not put a big load on the storage we tried find some option to do it parallel, meaning several archiving jobs (orders) could run for these tables with different filters at the same time.But we found that the jobs are executed one after another:Is there a way to make them run parallel?
We have implemented REST webservices for a customer and we want to give detailed information on the interface to the third party that will call it.What we have not managed to include in it so far is max field lengths.Even if I put ’maxLength’ property in my .projection file for ’CatalogNo’:What I see in API Explorer/Document/API Doc: Similarly in OPEN API V3: So the ’required’ attribute gets transferred to these two „documentations” of the interface but, ’maxLength’ is not.Internallly its working because the OData interface throws error if maxLength is exceeded when sending the REST request: "message": "The literal 'WM005614444444444444444444444444' does not match the facets' constraints.",Do you know a solution for how to publish to the caller what the max lengths of the fields are?
