Dear All,we are going to apply planning method E or F in our company, and there are 2 key parameters that should be entered (ordering cost and holding cost). I have read many papers and website, but I have not found any suitable pattern yet to calculate the ordering cost.I would like to know, how ordering cost should be calculated when we are going to place our purchase order for each material. I should set ordering cost for each material, there is who calculate this parameter or know how I can calculate it?I am very confused about this problem; I would be appreciated to help me.
Dear all,I would like to know how you choose the best planning method among (planning methods A, B,C,D,E,F,H) in your company? As you know , this method has a key role to mange our inventory based on carrying and holding costs. we are using planning method G for our parts, and it is ok and there is no any dark room for us about this planning method. but we are going to combine other planning methods for other inventory parts in each class . My first question is about planning method B ,if we see IFS help, it is mentioned that these methods consider on hand quantity and they are not dependent to purchase orders and demands. You assume, today on hand Qty is 999 and order point is 1000, lot size is 500, so proposal requisition is proposed for you and you order it ( so in this time we have a purchase order 500 pcs).next day, our on hand is lower order point so proposed requisition is proposed again, is it correct? I think that it is not true and our on the way purchase order should be
Dear all,There are questions about planning methods? what is difference among planning methods C (order up to planning), F (part period balancing planning), D (fixed order qty planning)?It is very important to us to know the way of calculations for each planning method.Now , in our planning policy, we consider the same planning method G (period order qty planning) for all purchasing component parts. But it seems that it is not true because of their priority based on ABC analysis.I am going to know that what is the best planning method for each category (A,B and C) to have a suitable supplying for them to prevent future shortages. There are some fluctuations during our planning periods and some times we miss many customer orders.
