In the PM Administrator we can set new values for Maintenance Triggers of the types: Calendar and Event. But, the triggers of condition type are missing. Is there a plan to include that in the PM Administrator in coming releases?
Hi,On serial objects placed in the equipment structure, there is an option to return a serial object to inventory - "Move to Inventory". The reason to return the Serial Object to Inventory could be for sending it for repair or to take care of an old component as an extra spare object. But it is not possible to return the serial object to Inventory if the Part No linked to the object only has Serial Tracking "At receipt and Issues" and the Serial Tracking "In Inventory"=FALSE. The selection "Move to Inventory" is only enabled when the Part No connected to the serial Object has the Serial Tracking "In Inventory"=TRUEI tested and it is the same behaviour in: APP10 UP16, as in Cloud 22R2 UP5.My customer says that from a logistics perspective, it is highly desirable not to track their parts in stock, only in part serial. Why is it not possible to return a serial object to stock if the item is not serial tracked in stock? The serial tracking is anyway in the part serial catalog.Best Regards
Cloud, Type Designation in Inventory Part vs Equipment Objects:I noticed that we have a field on Inventory Part named "Type Designation". My first thougt was: Great, now when I create a Serial Object from a serial tracked part then the "Type Designation" from Inventory Part will be inherited to the Serial Object! But no, it does not work like that! When I looked into it I noticed that the field on Inventory Part named "Type Designation" is a free text field, with a lenght of 25 characters. But in Functional Object and Serial Object we have a field Type Designation with a length of 30 characters, and this field Type Designation is connected to a list of value (Basic Data). So there are no functionality between these fields!I think it is confusing with two different fields, with the same label and no functionality between them! Or do I miss something here?
Hi,I am a bit confused by Service Contract vs Request Contract. I have been working with Service Contracts but not with Request Contracts. There seems to be some similarities/overlapping functionality, but are there an “official” recomendation or best practice when to use either one of them?Best Regards,Jonas Hermansson
