Impact on IFS Customers Apple have enforced a policy that all applications must be built using the iOS 13 SDK (Xcode11) by the 30th June 2020. From this date, new submissions of new or existing apps that are not built on this version will not be accepted into the store. FSM 5.7 Update 10 and FSM 6 Update 5 both comply with this requirement. Previous versions of FSM do not comply with this requirement. Another part of our application is affected by these changes from Apple. Our photo redlining/editing tool is no longer supported and has been removed from FSM 5.7 Update 10 and FSM 6 Update 5. It is our intention to reintroduce this capability by embedding a different 3rd party controller in a future update of FSM 6 once an appropriate tool is selected. Why does this matter? We have a question on Oracle version support for FSM 6. As, the mainstream support for the Oracle databases 12.1 was already ended in July 2018; and the extended support will be until Jun 2021. we currently use 12.1.0.2. Hence, we need to know by when IFS is planning to support the newer Oracle versions for FSM 6? As the latest available oracle versions are 12.2.0.2 (18c) and 12.2.0.3 (19c); and 19c is highly recommended by Oracle and due to longer support. Hence, would want to know when these will be compatible with FSM 6.
We have observed IFS Field Service using unsecure functions on android. The mobile application is using com.aviary.android.feather.common.utils.IOUtils.unzipEntry in an unsecure way. See https://support.google.com/faqs/answer/9294009 for specs on how to fix the issue. We are using FSM 5.7. update 6. Do you have any idea if this has been looked in already?
We currently have an issue where incorrect surveys get synced to mobile. In brief, We have set our sync rules to exclude survey type = Call Center that in inactive. But it is not happening as intended. Inactive surveys are also getting synced. Could you please give a heads up where else I should check if this is properly configured?
