Hi We are a Apps 10 user and outsource our IT desktop support to a third party. The third party sends a monthly invoice that can vary by $ amount due to the service supplied or the equipment provided. To complicate the matter more, the equipment needs to go on to the Object Balance register and the service is expensed.. They may be on the same invoice. The $ and equipment can be estimated, but the amount of service provided or equipment delivered is not known at the start of the month. Our Head of IT is becoming exasperated by creating a Purchase Order each month to cater the varying $ amounts and services delivered. My question to the community is what is the best way to manage such a contract in IFS (Apps10)?I was thinking of breaking down his budget, in a Purchase Order No-Part Order Lines, and he can incrementally receipt each line over the year. The other idea was treating the contract as a sub-contract. But they both come with relative downsides.Thank you and have a great weeken
Hi All.We use Apps 10 EE and are based in Australia (not that this should make a difference but apparently it does). We are trying to connect our ADP database, that we use for payroll, with IFS. The recommendation was to use a SFTP connection (by ADP). The project has ground to a halt and we are in the middle of a standoff because IFS cannot provide public PGP key and ADP requires public PGP key to make the connection. This solution (ADP (ifs.com)) does not work, we are told, because we are not based in the USA, which I find a little bit incredulous. If anyone in the IFS community has anyone encountered this situation before and can provide guidance, it would be very much appreciated?
Hi,Are there any IFS users in this community that are using the Human Resources module in Australia and would kindly share their experience? We use the parts of the HR module but not using its full functionality. In particular we’d like to get more value from the native Time Reporting (currently use a customised solution primarily to deal with local IR laws) and Employee Development/Training.
