We discussed this more and their intention is to ensure that billing isn’t messed up because of the lack of product data - so now we’re looking at simplifying it by not letting them move past the Overview screen without a product. I think it will be easier to block up front then after the tech thinks they’re done with the job. Thanks for the input - it helped point us in a directionGeoffrey
We found the answer to this in the server log. some of the ad hoc reports were missing primary tables on ad hoc report category screen. in the server log, there was a message: “Message: Exception Message : Columns: Primary Table in table Cust Ad hoc Category are required.”
Yes, and I feel somewhat stupid for now doing it already. It said, “Message: Exception Message : Columns: Primary Table in table Cust Ad hoc Category are required.”
I think that pointed me to exactly what’s wrong. Some of these user generated reports do not have a primary table listed. Thank you.
The creator can upgrade some of them - but others will not upgrade. Geoffrey

Found it. Leaving this here for posterity:in 6.7, the default product screen and productlookup has the lookup for parent_structure.parent_id set as structure_parent_id.in 6.15, or some point before, that was corrected to metrix_code_table~~structure_parent_idupdating the customized screens appears to have corrected the issue.
