One suggestion would be using a Change Request and creating a CR Type for “Deviation”. Then you can attach your customer deviation form and approvals, or use the approval process for Change Request to get internal sign off to actually make the change. Then simply connect the Change Request to the shop orders or create a new custom reference field. Or attach to Revisions table like suggested above, which would automatically create an indirect link from the CR to the shop orders based on Phase In date.
Do you have an external viewer application specified under your User Settings in document basic for redline documents? Generally I think it works off the File Types tab under EDM Basic. If the type is registered there and under your Windows machine, it should just open in its native application. I would leave the External Application fields blank under User Settings and make sure you register those CAD and Office extensions in File Types.
If you have access you can try to run the below in the DB:GRANT SELECT ON IFSAPP.IC_XXXX to PERM_XX We had hard time trying to figure this out. The default access is impossible to decipher from the IEE UI. “a user with IFSAPP access should run this, but also our policy is to not give this level of access to our customers”
We have been seeing this same issue. If anyone understands the cause, we would appreciate some input.
