Hi, currently, our customer has the following requirements:

For one certain Engineering Part , eg: Parts-A,

after “Engineering Transfer”:

in Site-1 , it is manufacture parts

in Site-2,  it is purchause parts

Can IFS do this? and how?

(because manufature/buy is attribute of “Engineering Part”,  not “Part Transfer Template”, seems IFS cannot meet this requirement. )

Hi @Shou,

What do you meant by after Engineering transfer ?
Let me know whether I have understood your requirement correctly.

You have an engineering part (type Make). Then, for Site-1 you need to transfer this as a Manufactured part and for Site-2 as a Purchase part. If this is the expectation, then you can transfer it as a Manufactured part to Site-1 (the values for transfer will fetch automatically as it is defined as a Make part in the Engineering side).
Now, in order to transfer it as a Purchased part to Site -2 (in my screenshot “TI1”) you can manually change the Part Type to “Purchased” and select a suitable Par Template, in the Engineering Revision Transfers window. Refer to example screenshot below;

No need to save anything here. You can just right click on the line and conduct the transfer.

@Tharindu Illangasinghe

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, you are right.

I can change the part type in “Engineering Revision Transfer” Screen for particular site.

But seems it only work for “direct transfer”.

If I set the 2nd level part type(SH-SEMI01 ) from Manufactured→ Purchase,

and  “detail transfer” the 1st level part (SH-FG01)

in “Engineering Structure Transfer Graph” screen, the 2nd level parts still “Manufactured”

Hi @Shou,

I have observed the same.

Instead of “Detail” transfer could you try with “Assign” first ?
Or else, transfer the SH-SEMI01 first and then the SH-FG01?
I’m just evaluating the options we have here.

@Tharindu Illangasinghe

Thank you for your reply.

Yes,

1. “Assign” then  transfer   or

2.Transfer SH-SEMI01 &  SH-FG01 togerther will fix the issue.

Thank you!

Hi @Shou,

You can try either options.

  1. “Assign” both by selecting both the lines (SH-SEMI01 &  SH-FG01) in the transfer window > then Transfer, or
  2. First transfer SH-SEMI01 and then SH-FG01
