how to get the product cost in real time with real cost

Dear all

I’m not sure who knows how to get a specific product general cost with the real cost, because currently we have so many cost price in system, which is the right one for the cost, if we want to have a clear cost which with current actual purchase price not with system weighted average price

or you can provide me all the different way to get the cost from system, i can analysis each way to find the one which i need.

@sherry what I would recommend if you wanna know the exact price of the parts would be:

  • purchase parts → weighted average & cost per lot batch → will maintain separate cost for each PO that you receive
  • manufactured parts
    • standard cost & cost per part (if you produce serial parts)
    • standard cost and cost per lot batch if you produce lot-batch tracked parts
