Support Issues and Solutions

IFS has support issues under support center. Just wondering if anyone has used this module and if there is any functional document available. Looking at IFS screen help it seems to allow sending email from the support issue, which emails issue journal. However, when user emails reply does it automatically get appended to journal. I am trying to understand if this module is like Zendesk type ticketing system.

Create oracle acl for Extended server install in linux

Hi all After installing one extended server in Linux Apps10 upd 6 oracle database 19c. I have realized plsqlap access provider is not working well due to one oracle acl problem. I was trying to create new acls but the problems is not solved. I got this error ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL). Any help about how create the acls. I thought recreating the instance of the extended server will resolve the problem but not. Any help will be welcome? Regards

post Installation ERROR - Gateway 404 ERROR

Hello Community, after installation of IFS, the processes will start all correctly (startifsAPPS10.bat). The website will shown https://HOSTNAME:48080 correctly. But when I start EE it will be get an 404 Error. There is no service under https://HOSTNAME:48080/main/default/clientgateway Does anyone have an idea?

Submit a Job to the Background Queue

I have the following code, that updates the required date on Project Navigator Demand based on a custom field. It runs fine as a custom menu, but when i run it as an event on creation of a new demand line, it crashes with a mutating trigger error. I believe it’s because I’m selecting info from the table I’m trying to update. Whats the best way to get this to work? TIA. Query build will not allow to select (First Distinct) value of Part Description

I have created a fairly simple query here selecting all order lines in a “Planned” or “Released” status, where Part No is like “-”, and any value in part description. I then sum the Sales Qty for the Part No that is grouped. Our issue is our Part Description is not unique so I really do not need to separate by part description, but if I do not group with it the field does not return values. As you can see for Part No 100-ST50 we have a description of Diamond 20# and a description of Diamond 20lb, I simply need the first description shown for a reference and need the subtotal for part no to include all entries so the subtotal for part no 100-ST50 should be 950. I do not know how to have SQL simply return the first distinct value for part description.

Print Preview - Purchase Order Change Order

A user wishes to print preview a purchase order change order, before the change order is authorised and the purchase order is updated. The reason for this is the person wishes to review what the updated PO would look like before they commit to authorising. However whilst on the ‘Purchase Order Change Order’ screen, there is no option to print preview. My initial thoughts are a custom RMB click to a purchase order quick report. However I would want this to reflect our current PO layout which is designs using report designer.

Call center demo

Hi, we’re on a quest to find out if call center can make a difference in our company. I can ask IFS and the anwser will be “sure it can” and i believe them, however .. talking to someone using it already would give me the real experience. So, if somebody using Call Center feels like shedding a light over the matter in a call or skype session that would be amazing, otherwise we’ll go for the IFS option. Document Management - Object Transformation

Between application 7.5 (or 8?! I am not sure...) and 9 I have seen a difference regarding object transformation. In the old release of IFS application an entry was made in the object connection list if a document was passed on from a source LU to a taget LU. Now it seems to be only displayed online. Can someone explain the benefit?

Translation issue in operational Report

I tried a function ‘Amounts to words’ in report designer and I used like below ‘vldtmath:amountToWords(tns:NET_CURR_AMOUNT,'ar',tns:CURRENCY)’. When I used for german language code or other language codes its translating and showing in mentioned languages but when I tried in Arabic or Korean languages its is not translating in the report. if currency is 1000 means output for ar/ko : One thousands. Please suggest any solution or give me reason why its not coming in report.

Doc Management Custom Field - how to view in the 'attachment' view on connected objects?

Hi All I’ve created a Custom Field in Document Management and ideally want it visible in the attachment view on the connected objects. Is this the view the ‘DOCUMENT_VIEW_ACCESS’? If yes how can a OBJKEY be made available as I can’t get this view approved. Or is this just not possible? If I expand to the ‘more’ option on the view the custom field is available. Hi I was trying some troubleshooting, and changed a setting I obviously shouldn’t have. Update connected objects Sales Quote from Business Opportunity

Hello, I’m having an issue understanding the workflow in IFS as it relates to Sales Quote generation. Currently, we are starting the process at Business Opportunity. An opportunity line would be entered for a top line part, which would be saved as a Non-Existing Part. From there an Estimate is created for the part. The calculation is made and the Business Opportunity is updated via the connected object from the Estimate to the Opportunity. In order to create a quote, we have to register the part using Register Non-Existing Part in Business Opportunity. When that is done, you can then RMB the opportunity line and create a Sales Quote. The issue becomes when you need to change the quote for any reason, the Business Opportunity is not also updated to reflect the change. If you adjust Contribution Margin on the Sales Quote, that does not update the Business Opportunity. Additionally, if you need to modify the Estimate, when you update the connected object to the Business Opportunity, you

Modification of a Custom Package (CFP)

Hi! When a custom LU and fields are added, IFS automatically creates a package to insert, modify and delete custom data. Is there a way to safely modify e.g. CF_NEW__ procedure in the custom package to add extra validations? I assume the CFP package will be overwritten when e.g. a new custom field is added or reinstalled and all changes will be lost, so it is probably not straightforwad. Any ideas? Thanks!
