Electronic Order Acknowledgements - ORDRSP XML File

We currently send ORDRSP (order acknowledgements) to our EDI customers. In reviewing the ORDRSP XML file, I noticed that all items on an order are included, regardless if there has been a changed or the item has been shipped. Our current version of IFS is App9 and we are looking to understand the following: Is there documentation on what drives the ORDER_LINE_RESPONSE_TYPE values of: Changed Accepted without amendment Is there a configuration setting within IFS that would prohibit sending a shipped complete line in an order acknowledgement (ORDRSP)? Right now, if an order acknowledgement is generated, the ORDRSP file includes the shipped completed line item and the ORDER_LINE_RESPONSE_TYPE is “Changed”.

Calculate date with time

Version : App10/IEE One of my Customer needs following calculation for a proposed date considering manufacture calendar Proposed date= sysdate(including time) + some lead time (in hrs) (when a proposed date falls on non-working day , it should fetch the next working day) Would it be possible to facilitate using existing methods from Work_Time_Calendar_API ? Appreciate any info on this

Values which exist for attachment.internal_type in task attachments

Any idea what values the column internal_type in table attachment resides? Which is not a UI column. So far only noted the value SIGNATURE which comes for technician/customer signature attachments. Was not able to confirm the remaining values that may exist in the ATTACHMENT.ITERNAL_TYPE column (apart from signature). I could see an entity ATTACHMENT_INTERNAL_TYPE which resides under FSM codes, that has only SIGNATURE as a code value. Could this be it though the column names slightly differ, any thoughts please?

Add System Info to Context Pane in APPS9

We have a user that would like the System Info added to their context pane, been through the security settings and can’t seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know how to add this for a user?

No Data Found

When publishing custom fields on the BusinessOpportunity logical unit I get the error “No Data Found”. When I go to the database the view is no longer present. Anyone ever seen this before?

Payment Way per institute Output directory with context substitution variable

Hello, With a global Installation of IFS and many different payment Institutes it is very cumbersome to handle the output file directories for payment files. is there a way to use context subsitution variables to dynamically define the Output file directories per company, database, payment method … How can this be handled in testing Environments to avoid creating Testfiles in the same Directory as productive System? Database Task Chain/ Schedule Task Error

Currently we receive an error each time our scheduled task for Update Purchase Lead Time has to perform an update. If no update is needed it runs and the background jobs states it’s ready. Otherwise when it needs to perform an update we get the error “ ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 1632 ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 683 ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 1226” See attached document as well. Has anyone else run into this?

Regarding behavior of entities with attachments.internal_type = SIGNATURE in task attachments

Thought of sharing the following upon some recent questions received from a project regarding task attachments. Could be helpful if anyone has the same doubts, also to please contribute to the discussion as there are still few doubts unconfirmed as mentioned in latter. The situation was that customer have had around seven attachments attached to a task with INTERNAL_TYPE = ‘SIGNATURE’ and there was a doubt why they could not see those seven attachments in the device and how the INTERNAL_TYPE gets fetched. And whether they can manually add attachments which has INTERNAL_TYPE = SIGNATURE. See inputs below, It is correct the customer signature attachments should not be visible in mobile for the technician. The reason is technician should not have the authority to edit/remove the customer signature. The customer/technician signatures will be stored in attachments having value as ‘SIGNATURE’ in INTERNAL_TYPE column in database (not visible in UI). This is not controlled in sync rules but fr

We would like our sales department to authorise the sales quotations from collegues, before they send them to a Customer. I hoped is was a standard functionality in IFS 9, but could not find it. Anyone an idea about this?

Alternate Component Parts - Not Split across Qty Per Assembly

Hello. When using component parts across a multiple lot size, say 10, IFS wants to split the Qty Per Assembly if the split is not “all”. For example, lot size 10, qty req per assembly is 1, if we use 5 qty of alternate component part, the qty per assembly is 0.5. In the case where the part cannot be physically split, i.e. a bolt, then i’d want to issue all 10 to the shop order and use qty per 1 per assembly, and just use 5 of part A and 5 of part b. IOS Mobile Work Order App /MDM - Pre Populating login

HI,I am using Mobile Work Order on IOS pushed out via MDM and a custom B2B App. I wondered if anyone had any experience in this setup. As we have an on-prem touch apps server is it possible to push the app out with the login parameters pre populated, eg systemID, touch apps server url and username/pass. We can pull user name and password from MDM.

Tip: Private Temporary tables in Oracle

There are two types of temporary tables in Oracle. They are Global temporary tables and Private temporary tables. Private Temp Tables: Private temp tables exist from oracle 18C onwards. They exists in the memory and do not have physical objects in the database. They exists during the session and after a re-login or in a new session it will not exists. Following syntax can be used to create a private temporary table. CREATE PRIVATE TEMPORARY TABLE ora$ptt_customer ( customer_id NUMBER, name VARCHAR2(20) ) As you can see we have to use ora$ptt identifies when creating a private temp table. If we want to remove the table after the commit we have to use the “ON COMMIT PRESERVE DEFINITION” definition and if we want to remove it after the commit we can use “ON COMMIT DROP DEFINITION” clause. Advantages: The advantages of having these private temp tables is we dont have the hedache of removing tables after a technical investigation. And also we can use these tables to insert important

How do I track what Lots went with each Shipments?

I will take an order for 96,000 lbs and will have multiple shipments against that 1 line. How do I know which lots went with each shipment? I have checked Lot Batch History and this shows all Lots for the Customer Order, not the individual shipments.

Engineering Revision Transfer

Is there an option to set an Engineering Revision not to transfer until the Revision status is Released? There is no other way to check whether Approval completed, all required documents is attached, etc. before the transfer.

Disable table window sorting by clicking column header

Hi All, Is there a setting to disable the sorting functionality by clicking the column header? I never noticed this but today a customer questioned about it, and now I see it every time when opening a table window I already tried disabling FNDBAS Presobject Table Column Reorganization but it didn’t solve the problem.
