When we find quality issues on parts after they have been inspected and put in stock, how do we cancel the receipt in order to register a new inspection with rejected quantities? We have heard that we have to put the parts back to the arrival location to be able to cancel the receipt, but we cannot move inventory stock to the arrival location again. (not possible to select the arrival location as destination. Or when changing a transport task we can select the arrival location as destination but it is not possible to save since there is no PO reference and we cannot add it manually. We want to achieve:Correct PPM data/quality statistics Ability to send parts back to supplier or scrap Please help us find an approach to this problem.

Aurena Clickable Hyperlink Custom Field

I created a Persistent Text custom field with the Clickable Hyperlink attribute checked. I then set the field to be visible on the page in IEE. After putting a URL in the field the text displays blue with a line under it and ctrl + clicking will launch the browser and navigate to the URL. This is the behavior I would like to see in Aurena as well. In Aurena when I add the field to the page the URL displays as text without looking like a link. Is there a way to make it look and act like a clickable hyperlink?

Planned Revenue value doesn't show total for Planned Revenue Hours

Hello, We are using Apps 10, UPD9. Has anyone experienced the scenario described below? Activity P2657.T01.0010PM.00PM.0040 contains 47 planned hours at a sell rate of $90.00. This equals $4,230.00 revenue. All of the hours are used and thus the Actual Revenue, Posted Revenue and Planned Resource Revenue are similarly $4,230.00. Yet in IFS the Planned Revenue is only $3,300.00 per the screen shot .

We have quick report that takes excessively long to execute and return results. Customer invoice reprint

Hi, I have several customers who want to reprint an invoice for a customer order because the price is not right, with the sales part.here is my feed: creation of the customer invoice debit ---- customer invoice credit --- reprinting of the invoice by modifying the price of the items .in ifs it is not possible to reprint an customer invoice with the same sales parts by modifying the price ... so how to do?

Sticky Notes

We upgraded to Apps 10 last October. I have a user using sticky notes on Time Card Day. Now in 10 the note will appear and you can type in it, etc…, but when you leave the page the note is gone. I do not believe it is a permissions isssue as she can use the notes on other screens and the same thing happens when I am logged in as App Owner. Any one else run into this?

Inventory Part creation record

Hello, I am looking for a way to determine what user created an Inventory Part. There doesn’t appear to be a history tab or any obvious field where this information is captured. I believe I could turn on History Logging and set the PART_NO field to record all inserts, but I’m hoping there is an easier way in the system to tell which user created any IP. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Oracle CSI or media

We run Apps8 on Oracle 11G, purchased the ASFU Oracle Enterprise Edition through IFS and pay our annual support and maintenance via IFS.We are in the process of migrating to a new data centre and want to take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest version of Oracle certified by IFS for Apps 8 which appears to be 12.1.0.2In order to download the media, we need our Oracle CSI number but are having trouble obtaining that from IFS. Alternatively, we need IFS to download the media on our behalf and load in to our FTP site on the Support Centre. This is proving problematical.Anyone got any experience on how to get Oracle media or CSI details ?ThanksDavid

Updates and Configuration Analyzer

With Updates becoming main vehicle for delivery of fixes and new functionality for IFS Applications there is a greater need for our Customers and Partners to be able to validate impact of merged Update on configurations they have developed. This has been made possible from Update 6 for Application 9 and RTM release of Applications 10. However up to very recently it involved help from IFS Global Update Team who could include export of configurations developed by Customer and/or Partner during Update Analysis and provide list of impacted areas. From second half of 2019 we have even better solution for dealing with Update impact analysis on developed configuration. IFS Product Development made it possible with IFS Configuration Analyzer. Now Customers and Partners can perform impact analysis at any point in time – before, during or after delivery of Update delivery. Tool will present impacted configuration in a list that shows type of impact and allows to export that information to Excel.

CRM Outlook Add-In - Insufficient Privileges Error

Hi, Users are getting the error “Error while saving the mail to IFS CRM. Insufficient priviledges.” when saving an email to IFS CRM through Outlook Add-In. When they are granted DocumentHome projection, it goes away. However, we want to know which activity within this projection is needed to resolve the following error, as we don’t want to grant the entire projection to users. Thank You.

Increase the length of a user defined field

Customer wants to store a detail in a field which is 800/1000 character, I have change the data type to Long string as well as also changed the column datatype to VARCHAR(MAX). Still its showing the DB column supports upto 256 characters.’Value for column is too large.Maximum characters allowed is 256”

How to change account number for certain invoice

Hi there, do you possibly know where in the IFS app can I change the bank account which will be printed in the invoice for the customer? I know I can define different cash accounts for the customer, but where do I choose the one I would like to use in the invoice (if different than the default for certain customer)?

Cannot find module './Light.json'

What could be the reason for the Client Error ‘Cannot find module './Light.json' appearing when logged into Aurena Client at the startup? It happens in one environment while other environments having the same code base do not.Error appears after a delivery installation which contains IFS Aurena Framework Binary Delivery 10.9.13.1. Once the delivery is rolled back the error disappears.

Why is site not part of control plan key?

When I prepare an Inventory Control Plan, I have to enter a site. Once done I want to activate it. System comes back with error message that I have to set existing control plan to InactiveCurrently it looks like the above. Notice the fact that there is no Site/Contract in the selection list.Opening the active Control Plan shows:The one that I want to set active looks like:So part is the same. The site however is different.My logic tells me that The control plans differ, however IFS tells me, via the error message, that control plans are cross site to be set up. Why is the site there and what usage is the site if I can’t activate it per site.Regards,Steve

Part Cost Bucket vs Part Cost Bucket History

Could someone explain to me the difference in the values found in the various Part Cost Bucket tables? part_cost_bucket_tab part_cost_bucket_one_tab part_cost_bucket_history_tabI am attempting to construct a Bill of Materials for a data warehouse, and these three tables seem to carry slightly different values. For the purposes of demand calculations in the data warehouse, I need to be able to leverage a Bill of Materials as of any point in time, so I was hopeful that the history table would include everything I need -- but there are some examples of Part associations in the other two tables not available there.I could perform a simple union of these tables in my SQL query in order to handle for any missing data -- but that feels like a weak solution that could generate more confusion than it alleviates.Any guidance others could provide me on the nuances between these tables would be greatly appreciated. Scheduling IAL to Copy All Data

Good Morning,We are trying to schedule an existing IAL to copy all data at scheduled time to run a report faster.The problem here is the option ‘Copy All Data’ is not available for that specific and several other IAL’s and I see its available for some. How can I change it from ‘Use Live Data’ to ‘Copy All Data’I understand with this option, we will not have upto the second data in that report, is there a way to solve this i.e copy all data at scheduled time at night and then add recent data at the time when user run report to get up-to-date data.So far I tried to deploy IAL again without checking ‘Create IAL for Live Data only’ and I get following message. Not sure what it is looking forAny ideas how to resolve this.Thanks

Report Rule building email text

We have a report rule that emails invoices to customers. I want to include a web address that includes the invoice number and invoice amount. An example below where CD1234 is the invoice number and 200 is the invoice amount. I am using variables for these values. My problem is when I try to build the below string the = and & characters are a problem. It does not include anything after a = or & character. I have tried wrapping it with single and double quotes with no luck. Any suggestions? https://www.xxx.com/invoice/?invoice_number=CD1234&amount=200App8sp1+

Developer Studio wrong CPS Reference

In the IFSDS doing a customization in some entity, I need to download the related files, the IFS DS suggest all the necessary files.The problem is IFSDS is ignoring the CPS version, see below.Even the target version of the project set UPD7.Looking in archive, we can see the files in the example is in version 7.Anyone know if exist a parameter in order to fix this?Just to add some info, in ISD, the problem doesn't occur. IFS10 create new entity in Developer Studio

Hello, Has anyone created new entity with sequence in IFS Developer Studio ? I want to create sequence for keys of my table.I could create index and sequences in PLSQL Developer but i guess it is made in .storage file in Developer Studio.How can I create .storage file of the entity to define INDEX or SEQUENCE ? Or maybe i need another way to define them. Could anyone please help ? Thanks & Best Regards
