Put an employee on "Leave" status, but keep pay

When we put users on Leave, sometimes they still need to be paid; however IFS Cloud locks them out of the “Time Registration” screen, making it impossible to actually add hours/pay employee’s on leave.

 

We tried creating a new “Active” status called “Leave with Pay” however that status still locks the employee out of the time registration screen.

We use the non active status to determine a lot of other things, so we cannot just leave them as “Active”. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Matt,

Of course, I don’t know all requirements, but according to me you should keep the employee status Active and continue to register time (e.g. long-term absence on a wage code which still leads to payment). Apart from that, you might consider to use the employment type or a self-defined employee property, if necessary, to mark this employee as an employee being on leave.

Thank you Martin. It sounds like this would need to be a customization then? There is no way to allow a status other then “Active” to allow time registration?

A customization is not necessarily required. What’s the problem with keeping the status ‘Active’?
