It’s primarily to do with what has been defined as the key(s) in the Source Mapping, in order for the migration job to uniquely identify the record to update. The community links below will point you in the right direction.

+14The links helped but I needed to clarify the changes to the Key (K) fields needed to be updated in the Method List Attribute screen. Once I made the change I could Add or Modify with any errors.
