The customer is currently using IFSCloud version 23.2.1, and we've successfully configured the email sender. However, we now need to change the sender name (MAIL_SENDER1) to a different one. Could you please provide guidance on how to make this change? Please refer to the attached screenshot for assistance.

Hi @maheshmuz

You can configure the sender name from Setup IFS Connect, Mail sender configurations, and combining the From User in the Email event action.

Please note that if you need to send the mail from another user (Using From user in the email event action), your mail account setup the in the mail sender should be able to send on behalf of other email addresses.

Please check following on how to setup this in the mail sender configurations

Configure the Mail Transport Connector - Technical Documentation For IFS Cloud

Following community topic will also helpful for correctly set this up

Hope it helps!

Thank you for your response. This implies that we could likely achieve the desired outcome by renaming 'MAIL_SENDER1' in the IFS Connect mail sender configurations. Is renaming the only available option to achieve this, or are there alternative methods for configuring the mail sender?

Hi @maheshmuz

Actually, you don’t need to rename the MAIL_SENDER1 for achieving this

You can use the option 5 in the above documentation

  • If the flag OVERRIDE_MAIL_SENDER is set and DEFAULT_MAIL_SENDER is on form "Name <local-part@domain>" than it will be used.
